Dossar you are obisously immature, turning this kind of conversationg into "I'd be pissed if this wasnt so cute, look at you trying so hard! It's absolutely precious! :P" is a way to dodge **** and pretty a very bad way.

You're missing the point. The primary catalyst for this entire debate was your usage of a thread title that implied a self-comparison to WookE, who has established himself as one of the utmost top SM players in virtually every facet of the game (and not just vibrating). However, due to the nature of the internet and the communication thereof, in most instances it's remarkably difficult to pass judgment on a particular statement, especially when it's made by a person who seems to straddle the thin line between being facetious and being serious. Consequently, aside from immediate or recent historical context, we have no standard by which we may gauge the sobriety of your posts. In this case, there was no reference at all to the jocularity of the thread title nor was there anything prior that would suggest such a trait. It wasn't until the questionability of the title was brought up that you decided to shed light on your originally intended meaning, at which point a number of members criticized you for using a title that was easily interpreted as a presumption of WookE-caliber SM skill. Thus began the firefight between accuracy advocates and vibrating proponents, leading us to where we are now - nowhere closer to resolving a futile dispute and a considerable measure farther from the purpose of rhythm gaming - TO HAVE FUN.

Anyways, it's important to always bear in mind the impact of our words, especially on forums, where they're most likely to be misconstrued and/or inadequately conveyed. If this contention doesn't cease to a sufficient extent, StepMania will probably completely deteriorate within the next year. Remember - we didn't pick up rhythm games to cross swords over whether or not the vibration of the arm according to scrolling visual prompts constitutes its own aspect of skill. That task is best left to Dr. Stepman Iaispret Tyserious, who is currently working on his dissertation on the Factional Sociopolitical Infrastructure of Rhythm Gaming Subcultures.

            P.S. - ya bs

That's what I don't understand, vibrating, ma, and speed are skills of stepmania, so why should vibrating be judged so differently from ma or speed? Why so serious?

And I do have to agree this thread has gone nowhere, 5 pages of yet again useless arguing.

And the "ya bs" thing, in what way am I bs? Do you have evidence to back up your claim?

Vibrating is entirely different from MA and speed in that it requires a physical component that isn't entirely dependent on aptitude or practice.

Like, on judge 4 you can hit an arrow in time with the music but it still results as a perfect so it's a partially luck too since I glue my eyes to the screen sometimes but still get perfects, you have to understand where the marvellous window is on your noteskin T_T

Re: Say hello to your new WookE

I've recently started writing again, so I might give it a shot, but I have to know what kind of poem, if any, you have in mind first. I've always been a fan of the Shakespearean sonnet, though.

Back on the other topic: ROFL e-drama. I don't care how much people value vibrating as a skill, the fact is that only a precious few are gifted with it to the extent that Isaac seems to possess, and that fact should be celebrated instead of pissed on like some others here seem to be doing.
