My MA is balls. God I want to get rid of FFR syndrome so bad.

Also in Stepmania, my finger placement is such that my pinky tends to hit the pause-break key, which activates mute. So in the middle of the song i'll try to press it again, generally giving me a bunch of greats or breaking my combo. Luckily mute doesn't activate in song, but still, it bothers me.

I tend to press the windows button a lot.
I tend to press the wrong keys at times during a song, which is gay.
I tend to get nervous near the end when i'm about to AAA a song. (Usually, results with a Blackflag)
I tend to blink a lot on long songs.
I tend to move my head to the beat when i play a song. It helps me for some odd reason.

I tend to tap my keys most of the time then to press them hard.

I think that's it.

I never seem to notice it, but come to think of it. This is all things that I do sub-conciously.

I bite my bottom lip a lot.
I get random boos a lot because I get too excited and my fingers slip.
I blink a lot.

I'm forced to put my KB on my lap because I have no desk in my room or anything of any sorts (my room is absolutely tiny.). So, my feet are planted on the floor. When I do FGOs, and I'm doing REALLY well, my right leg will begin to twitch. This happened to cost me an ER v2 AAA. =/

Nothing I can do about it except get a desk. And even then, I've played on flat surfaces before, and my leg STILL twitches--it causes me to mess up either way. Oh well, one flaw. =D

My pinkies dont't stick up when i play, but sometimes i hit so light that my keyboard doesn't register . When i was typing that period. Also i play better with music off when i AAA (but i normally listen to the music for normal play). I have about 3% chance of hitting caps lock during a song, and also i sometimes hit the wrong keys. Sometimes. also i blink like crazy when i play, more than when i don't. I get nervou when i FC songs and miss that last note sometimes, but i don't have enough AAA's to judge that.

Sometimes I stretch my thumbs way out and they hurt from doing that, and sometimes I have my hands raised high and shift them enough that I lose track of the right keys and press the wrong ones. I also tend rub my eyes just before I play and that somehow causes them to be itchy, and I have the urge to rub my eyes during a song to try to stop the itchiness. Yeah, I'm weird.

since i started off with ddr i usually tap extra keys to keep the beat. it is really annoying and when i do it im like **** this and boo out. never to play the song again.

try to get into the habit of tapping with your foot or tapping very lightly with your hand or something

Hmmmm....Let's see what I can take from other's peoples lists and add my own frigged up habits....

1. I tend to tangle my fingers up every now and then.
2. I tend to get nervous near the end when I'm about to AAA a song...and lose the beat.
3. I get random boos a lot because I get too excited and my fingers slip.
4. I don't blink anytime during the song.
5. My tongue sticks out when I concentrate.
6. My left or right leg will subconsciously start moving on it's own if I'm doing good, and stop when I frig up.
7. My pinkies don't stick up when I play, but sometimes I hit so light that my keyboard doesn't register.

I think that's about it....

I was playing one of those 4 minute rock songs and trying to get the AAA, 3 minutes later I have a really bad urge to scratch my ear. I didn't want to stop playing so I lifted my foot up and scratched it doggy-style. I was never able to do it again.

Hahaha. Oh, just noted another weird habit while I play--my pinky fingers start moving uncontrollably because they aren't comfortably placed. Solo mode does fix this, but I usually don't warm up with Solo.

Oh god...where do I begin?


My most common habit is my arm severely tensing up during hard songs - so much that I usually can't play over two or so minutes out of sheer pain. This affects me only on high FMOs and FGOs, but it explains why I have so many bad ranks on those songs.

My sister has pointed out that my mouth twitches up and down very fast in periods where I'm concentrating really hard on a song (such as if I'm AAAing or FCing a hard song) - I'm totally unaware of it even when I concentrate on when I do it - I had to look at one of my old FFR videos to actually see it for myself.

Like others have mentioned, sometimes my legs shake violently and suddenly during a song, although when it happens, I can make it stop and start up on command.

In the past, my thumb and pinky would stretch out so hard that I couldn't finish some songs. Now that I've gotten better at the game, my thumb doesn't do that, but my pinky still does (although it doesn't really hurt as opposed to the thumb).

I squirm in my chair a lot when I get pissed off at the game (usually when I've been whoring a song unsuccessfully for an AAA).

I have never gotten a single mental block on a song from repetitious playing. Every one I've ever received is a result of me thinking about the pattern. Unfortunately, once I start thinking about the pattern, I can't stop - very frustrating. Thankfully, the blocks on these songs usually fade (although they temporarily come back quite often). However, really fast/complex songs are too intense for this phenomenon to occur.


That's all I can think of at the moment. I had no idea many people shared the same weird habits I do.

EDIT: Just remembered another one. If I think about my eyes drying out, that actually causes it - then I start blinking a lot, and it screws me up, etc.

one of my worse habits is to lean back uncontrollably, as if i'm on a rollercoaster, especially on songs that are really fast or have massive bursts.

plus getting nervous towards the end of songs (no matter how easy)

and swearing massively when i get goods (laggy or otherwise)
