rofl, I played 1.50 when I started, then 1.75 for about more than a year, then I switched to 2.0x during the summer and improved tremendously.

I switched from 1.5 to 1.75 before the 4th official tournament, ended up doing really well, and I've played 1.75 since. I've been thinking about transitioning to 2.0 to see if that will get me past the slump I've been in lately.

well, all people are different, some are better with speed mods, and some are better without speed mods. just test it out, try the speedmods, and if you think youre getting better, try the next faster speedmod.

i play currently at 2.25x .. i tryd 2.5 but its at the moment a lil bit too fast for me ^^

Your right spammy, But you know just as well as I do that generaly speaking the best players are off of 1.0 and 1.5

And you should know just as well as I do that generally speaking, the best players do not use anything higher than 2x on FFR, because that's like C1000. Even top tier players don't play that fast, because frankly, there is no point.

I play 1.75, which is supposed to be C525, but because of the vertical dimension being so small, it's like C600 (my preferred speed). I know for a fact I am better than you, and I assure you I probably play less than you do.

Higher speedmod =/= skill. Think of it like this:

The notes are spread out further so you can see the notes better. I play 1.75, but I prefer something like 1.85 because since 1.75 is C525 a little slow for me, my normal speed is like C650.

It's not cheating, it's called ''reaching your full potential''. Raising your speed allows you to improve your arrows reading, but you still have to press the arrows as fast as in 1.0x.

Of course, it's much harder if you played at 1.0x speed, but if you call that cheating, then we are all ''cheaters'', since barely anyone plays at 1.0x speed.

Lol, don't worry, I didn't know about speed mods until a friend told me too :P

But anyways, I would definitely suggest using a faster speed mod. Back when I used 1x, I struggled with a lot of the more challenging songs. Now, using 1.75x, I can easily FC songs that I used to struggle to pass.
