Here is my reasoning to that:

Advanced is playing a song that few people can AAA, regardless being a difficult or not.

Intermediate: Palindrome will make it so that few people AAA it as well. Most difficults other than SGG can be AAA'd by intermediate players in tourneys.

According to the actual song difficulties, SGG is a 47 and Palindrome a 48 so I don't think the songs were decided in that matter. Pretty even difficulty in this case.

Hence, it's just two annoying songs to scale the divisions a bit for round 2.

on another note, I just got Counterclockwise chant pattern, and it's tough, but to me not as tough as Almost There, so EA, which do you think is tougher, considering 9-0-0-2 to 15-2-0-1 (or some score close to that)
