That is the message that appears when you try to view a private profile. It should read:

"This profile is private. You must be this user's friend to view his/her profile."

It matters very little. Your input is probably appreciated, but this would probably be more effective if you simply PMed a staff member.

It's basically an accepted loss these days.

We know it's wrong but using his/her in its stead just looks wrong now.

Nobody said that the rules of grammar are unchangeable.
