Ziljidan: Here is a perfect example of what I mean.

Except the digital noises of the site are poorly made and I would much rather hear it in real life, but I am just giving you an example of what makes me happy.
Every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father, every inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history of our species, lives here on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.

I dunno, I think true happiness is one of those things that you can feel when you want to feel it. It's something that comes naturally to me. If I want to brighten up my day, I...well, I hate to sound cliché, but I think happy thoughts. I guess I consider myself as an optimistic person and sometimes the littlest thing is capable of putting a smile on my face. But I also feel that happiness is something that you consciously have to experience before you start to feel it. I don't really think you could be unconsciously happy. There has to be something that sparks the happiness inside you to make you feel it in the first place.
Life is a long journey. Realize and recognize...
Friendship is always a sweet responsibility, never an opportunity. Don\'t forget to smile and have fun, aiight? Maraming mahal!

True happiness for me is waking up on a Saturday morning at 11:00 with nothing to do and no where to go. Then I realize there is 20$ under my pillow. Sweet.

Does one honestly know true happiness? Or is it our brains just fooling us into thinking we are happy. In the end, it depends on the person to truely define their happiness. There will never being a true universal definition of "happiness" because everyone is diffrent.

For me, being happy is forgetting that I'm sad.

It's easier for me to be happy in the summer and spring more than winter and fall. This is because I have what is known as Seasonal Affective Disorder. No, it's not some disease that makes you crazy or anything. It's just the way my body reacts to not having enough sunlight and so forth. This link: http://www.nmha.org/infoctr/factsheets/27.cfm should help you understand if you don't know what it is. What makes me happy now is seeing or talking to my boyfriend. We started dating November 23rd, 2004. Seriously, I could go on ALL DAY about him...but I will spare you of this. I started talking to him about the time the sun stopped wanting to shine more often than not. I've notified him of how I am in the darker months and he totally supports me when I need him. He's extremely patient with me and I can't stop from smiling when I think of him. This is what makes me happy.

As inspirational as that is..emo...where are they all coming from

I don't beleive in crazy made up disorders to give people an excuse for acting how they want to act. This includes ADD, aspergers and Seasonal Affective Disorder.

                    Funny note; Ironic Acronym:

                    Seasonal
                    Affective
                    Disorder

They sooo did that on purpose.

Yes, it is quite an ironic acronym. I too believe they did that on purpose. I do want to make it clear though that I do not use it as an excuse to act how I want to act. I'm a girl...I could just use PMS for that...(LOL)...but I don't. I do see it as an explanation to why I am more depressed in the winter and fall and totally happy and through the roof in the summer and spring.

I'm more depressed in the winter, but I have a real reason for that: Homework ++++++.
And happy in the summer. School = dead.

coincidence? Probably not, I must have SAD.

                        jk, ur kewl.

Okay, homework is a perfectly good reason for someone to be depressed. Don't hate me, but I like NEVER have homework. (LOL) I actually like being at school more than I do at home. My classes are great and the teachers are awesome people. Whenever I'm finished with my work, I hang out in the library with the other people and we just talk and have fun. Or, I go to the chorus room and play the piano. Just whatever I feel like doing. At home, I have problems because my dad doesn't believe I'm giving school my all because I don't have homework...oddly enough, I have a 4.0 (of a 4.0 scale). He constantly fusses at me and so forth...so I believe this explains why I'd rather be at school. Thank you for calling me kewl...
