I don't think many people have directly come out and said it, but you're actually a bit of an ass. I mean, you're intelligent, which gains you respect. I respect you, I enjoy reading your posts, but even this one right here that I'm quoting is rude. Same with Tibs. Seth might make a good moderator, but he doesn't post too much anymore. At least not that I can see. I also don't see him around that much.

When the admins are looking for mods I imagine they're looking for experienced people who are friendly, know the rules and when to enforce them, and are equal. I'm going to stop now so I don't get in a flame war, but you can probably assume where I'm going with this.

When the admins are looking for mods I imagine they're looking for experienced people who are friendly, know the rules and when to enforce them, and are equal. I'm going to stop now so I don't get in a flame war, but you can probably assume where I'm going with this.

You are implying I have none of these, yes, I gathered that. I have experience (2 years admin, moderator of teenhelp.com for 6 months, moderator of other forums combined about 2 years experience). I know the rules, not to mention I have pointed them out and followed them. I'm impartial in that I have no problem making fun of anyone.

Oh, and a final point, those who think I'm an ass (such as yourself) just don't know how to stop taking things seriously. Every person who has talked to me for an extended period of time knows I'm a decent guy and generally pretty nice. Most recently speak to championanwar.

I also remember someone before vaguely saying that I was underrated in my posts in newbie section.

He's not an ass... I chat with him frequently. He has a very delightful personality and charisma.

He also helps me around a lot when it comes to music and life.

- I ignore your post, you feel you're right about everything you said.
- I reply saying you're wrong but don't explain why, you feel you're right due to insufficient evidence.
- I reply as I did, you think I'm being egotistical instead of realising I am merely trying to get you to understand that your opinion of me is unfounded.

I am not about to ignore someone needlessly attacking me without evidence. As a retort I backed up my side, but this time with evidence. So suddenly when you're faced with evidence your idea of a response is to attack the evidence, again with no evidence of your own.

I made a suggestion of someone I thought would make a decent moderator, and you jump on my ass about it. Learn the difference between debate and argument. A constructed post with evidence = a retort, not an argument. Replying to said post with "oh you're a drama queen" is a hopeless argument. I have no care if you think I'd be a good moderator, a good priest, or a good miss united kingdom 2008. My problem was with your eschewed view of my character when you obviously just have a problem with people knocking back your ideas and can't accept people not agreeing with you.

You're too sensitive and serious about things.

I think my favourite part about threads like this, is the tacit assumption that many users make that somehow existing staff cannot possibly have any idea who might also make a good moderator, that you need to list names, and try to convince us.

If you need to put effort into convincing the existing staff that someone would make good staff, chances are they are not someone who would make good staff.

Tass is around this site more than any other user. Plenty of the staff are among the most active users, active posters, active everything. Believe me, if Tass/Synth felt we needed more moderators, no matter how specific the selections had to be (in terms of things like time of day active, or nation of origin or whatever) I'm confident that the existing staff could -easily- generate a list of a dozen people who'd make excellent staff members to try and choose from.
