Head over to the FFR Batch Forum for all the details on how you can get your file into the game. The Artist Permissions forum section will help you find out if FFR has permission to use the song your file goes with.
P.S. guys if you step original music you have a better chance of getting a file accepted.
All of the songs that have been sent here so far that have already been stepped before were rejected. Take that into consideration when you choose a song to step for this. (Except for Tsugaru 180, but that file is kinda meh.)

Yeah, it's probably not that great because most of my sims are made for pad/index.
It was one of my earlier sims though, I did the first 3/4s of the song over a year ago.

My latest 2 files were original songs. So Im guessing my latest 2 files weren't rejected for being un-original. This is exactly what I dont do, which is probably why my files get rejected a lot.
Speaking of my latest, no one has told me why firewire and Played Alive were rejected. I can't fix what I dont know guys... Im not telepathic.
Now I really want to step for this, since almost everything I step has not been stepped before
:-/
I get home around 1pm today, so I have about 9 hours to get a really good start on a file before I leave for something tonight.
I already have like 4 songs in mind hehehe
<%SSH|Korysar> does anyone else watch pornos for the soundtrack
<Mehified> No offense to you tho xd
<@Alive> i misunderstood the meaning of shiney instruments and he tole me to calm down
<+lurker> if i want porno music
<+lurker> i'll listen to the sonic 3 ost
<%SSH|Korysar> LMFAO
<sjoecool1991> ahaha
Layering is where you pay attention to multiple instruments at once.
If you step just one thing it's not going to be very interesting unless it's say a guitar solo. Layering makes for interesting rhythms and jump placement and such, and brings out far more of a song than non-layering can do.
Here's an example of a layering file: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...hp?songid=3016
Most of this file is guitar+snare drum: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...p?songid=23956
This one is really complex layering but I believe it's accurate: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...hp?songid=2756
EDIT: Oh, if you make pad files you typically won't use that kind of thing much, but for slow rhythms (or conversely for hard charts) you can, like if you had a slow 8th melody and 8th drums you could put them on top of each other
