Dossar reached critical mass after the 9th Official and ascended to a being of pure Stepmanian energy.
You won't be seeing him in any more competitions as he has already joined his life force with the arrows.
In our hearts, every competitor is Dossar now. that or I'm guessing he's busy in school and doesn't want distractions.
Really wanting a 360 now after getting my PS3 back, but, I hear so much bad stuff about this " red light " ****.
Is it really that bad and frequent ? it's the only thing really putting me off getting one atm.
I hear it's an issue with overheating. I don't expect it would be a too much of a problem if you keep it's vents clear.
I've not had any issues with it personally, but I haven't done much gaming on it either to be honest. I probably have logged more hours on it during the time I was using it to play DVDs.
I want to get either Guitar Hero or Rock Band for my brothers this Christmas. A package, preferably - with the game and the guitar(s) [and instruments]. Which game, out of ALL of them, is worth it?
The RRoD(Red Rings of Death) are yes an issue with overheating. The newer consoles are supposed to not get it, but I think they still do. If they do I think it happens less than with the older ones. And Gears of War 2 came out 8 days ago. It's an amazing game, definitely worth the buy for you 3rd person shooter guys. I am hopefully getting a chance to play Vesperia this weekend, if any of you guys want my opinion on it after I play, I shall speak.

And yes, it has to be for the 360. :]
All depends of the skill of the "User" if he can play fast with timing windows as big as mercury go for guitar hero. but for timing rock band is better. (also sooo much more fun)
And the newer systems for the 360 dont get the RROD I myself got the RROD sent it in got a new system and for a year and a half I haven't gotten the RROD yet =)

I would have to say rockband for the fact that they could possibly play with their friends and family. They made the files harder for rockband two i heard.

For mixing with non-gamers, RB2 is the obvious software winner. No-fail mode.
As for hardware, it's not a major issue. GH basic drums are a little more like a drum set thanks to the standard cymbals, but the quality is apparently terrible (i.e. kits might not respond at all the majority of good strikes). RB2 kit has the option of expansion cymbals, but that costs more (or you can go all out on an ION kit), but at least the low quality RB kits went the way of the dodo a long time ago. Both drums are apparently compatible with each other, but GH changes the drum chart if you play on a RB kit (due to the fact that RB kit is 4 "buttons" standard while GH is 5 standard). Aside from that, hardware differences aren't a major issue. RB2 guitar includes special equipment for automatic syncing with a HD screen and solo buttons. GH has a touch sensitive section that can be used in place of the fret buttons (not helpful for playing, and probably even less useful than RB's solo buttons). Microphones are whatever.
But yeah, RB software is definitely the winner for playing with other people. I hear that if one of the band members fails in GH, THE WHOLE BAND loses that song. In RB, you can save your bandmates by activating your star power (or whatever the **** that ****s called).
Based on what I've heard, GH is more for people that want to play hard **** than just have fun. I was really hoping Neversoft would take GH away from that sort of thing, but it seems that they haven't. You want to get some friends around and fool around for a while, RB is the better choice. RB also has a wider open door for songs (RB2 ships with 84 on disc, 20 free DLC to all RB2 owners, the ability to download 55 from the RB1 disc, and hundreds of available DLC, to say nothing of the ACDC track pack), but GH has that oh-so-terrible midi-like music creator (but protip: they delete copyrighted work if anyone reproduces it and posts it online).
