Vista is sex only when you have a 2000$+ computer.

lmao, mine was only $300 and plays like a XP would. It only bothers me if i play on IE on Vista, in that case it really sucks, i use FF and it plays like a XP.

My vista desktop runs FFR laggy, and it's better than my laptop in pretty much every way possible. My laptop runs FFR fine though. Desktop was made over a year ago, I just got my laptop on monday.

well I run vista and i get lots of random goods. maybe 10+ on a harder songs. wish there was something to do so i could fix it.

vista sucks. i'm lucky if I get an AAA, which I hardly get.

My verdict is that I got a kick ass gaming laptop, (Asus m50sv) and FFR runs smoother than on my custom XP computer. If you want to play FFR on vista, have a good processor, or else.

Well my computer was bought from Best Buy for ~$500 almost 2 years ago. It took only a week of gameplay to get used to the timing or delay and I'm able to AAA VCs at this point.

And to be honest, my computer sucks. I only have 512MB of RAM, Celeron D processor and an ATi Radeon Xpress 1100 graphics card.

The fact is, all you people saying that people lagging in Vista with FFR must have bad computers are wrong.

I have run XP side by side with Vista on this computer, which is very fast indeed, and I do great on XP, and then I play Vista and the arrows are choppy and occasionally lurch to give goods instead of perfects.

My best guess is that the real problem is certain very specific hardware setups, when paired with Vista, cause graphical and timing issues in FFR. It's nothing more than that, and nothing less, and likely there is nothing those of us plagued by said issues can do about it. Hope that in some future service pack or upgrade I get this will work itself out because I am not going to dual boot solely for FFR accuracy, and neither will anybody else.

@madpear: FFR doesn't take anything from the video card... mostly all the processing is processor-wise (not graphics processor) because adobe flash was made that way. you just have a damn slow processor and your using way too much resources of your computer with vista's special effects. and you probably have a few other programs running in the background.

Maybe a graphics card rated 2.9 is my problem.
I think there are some drivers that Microsoft Windows Update supplies to certain cards that are the wrong version too. That might be a problem for many.

Not all comps with Vista suck for FFR. I've played on a few that played pretty much the same as XP (no change in PA).
Just saying, don't blow off playing FFR on any comp with Vista, as they can, though rarely I guess, play FFR just fine.
