My dad has Vista on his computer and most games run very good but Flash just seems to run horrible on Vista, I can barely FC some songs on there because of the odd timing.

Because of licensing issues with closed source you have to:
          1) Right click on the desktop.
          2) The first menu item, Popular programs something or other, and select terminal from it.
          3) In terminal yype su <enter> and when it prompts you for the password type root <enter> than type get-flash-plugin <enter>
          4) When that's done you can start firefox or repack USB/burn changes to cdr.
If you repack than you don't have to get flash again if you start from the new burn or USB key.

You can also get flash from the update manager in the lower right corner (Looks like a cardboard box). Flash is under the Mirrored tab under the letter G for 'get-flash-plugin'

That's what you get for running a quad-core, gj.

By the way guys, don't use failexplorer on Vista. That's just asking for trouble. Make sure you're using good 'ol Firefox.

                  Go to terminal
                  'tazpkg get-install slitaz-loram'
say no to cromfs and install
                  'tazpkg get-install squashfs'

Minimum ram requirements are 128MB for standard build. The above is for 64MB. There are tighter ones; do you need instructions for the 32MB ram version?

Re: Vista + FFR = Bad?

if you are switching to vista from XP and have a PS/2 keyboard, and you are experiencing key response delay, then my (didn't make the fix just found it) method will sort that out. However, if you bought your computer with vista on it then the problem lies in how flash runs on Vista. Flash 10 might solve some of the issues but until macromedia comes out with a flash version which is completely compatible with Vista, I'm afraid you are out of luck :C

Been playing FFR on linux for 6 months now... On a computer with a Pentium 3 and 512mb of ram... Lags like hell on win98, and it would on XP too (since it barely hits minimum specs)...

Ubuntu linux... No lag at all...

Srsly? SliTaz runs in ram, you can even boot from network as long as you have the bootstrap on some media.

Vista literally takes the fun out of FFR.

I have an XP as well as my vista, and i choose my vista over my XP. I guess some vista's are better then others. I just happen to have the sexy one.
