Cheats: Yay Or Nay?

Gameshark.

You have to hit L to start hovering and hit it again to stop. The best part was getting out a bomb, begin hovering, letting it explode on you (heck, you have invincibilty, it doesn't matter), and even though you're screaming and flashing from the damage you took, you look like superman. If you try to go over the edge of a wall on a map, you'll just fall endlessly and have to restart the game.

Cheats are there for the programmers as was their original use. But anyway..

The only cheats I use are for GTA and THPS (Tony Hawk.. like no gravity and that stuff).

i use Grand Theft Auto cheats. just for weapons.

after i beat a game though i will use cheats to see what effect they have. that's the only time.

i totally agree! its ok to use cheats for fun but not to beat the game.

I used to cheat ALL THE TIME. Now I see how bad of a thing to do it was. You see, I used to play Warcraft and Starcraft and I cheated all the time. I also played C&C quite a bit, but Westwood didn't believe in cheats so there were no codes. Over time, I got better at C&C while continuing to suck hardcore at WC and SC. Now, I'm pretty good at Command and Conquer but I really suck at craft games, despite having stopped the cheating.

Also, I used to cheat in all the GTAs because I thought they were impossible. In SA, I didn't use a single cheat code (I won't even let myself go find the cheats). Now I'm really awesome at SA because I've learned through playing the game. I saw how much better I was when I played with a guy who immediately asked what the cheats were. We played multiplayer a little bit, and he always died really fast. I managed to stay alive and cause a lot more destruction, while he always did stupid stuff and got killed before we could get anything done. I'm glad I'm not lame like that anymore.

Also, cheating in MP is just dumb. If you make yourself invincible and kill people in a deathmatch, does that make you feel better about yourself? You lose the satisfaction of earning the win, which makes it worthless.

Oh, and I think that comment about Tass was referring to TWG, haha.

There are absolutely no cheat codes for FFR.

Cheat codes are lame anyway. FFR would suck if there was cheat codes.

Same forum too. Brag board used to be the same way. The only way that a brag thread would get locked would be when everyone postwhored it up to 5 pages within hours. Then someone would tell LD or something and it'd get locked.

It's a bit easy to hack though, but it's not like you don't get caught, banned, and hated by everyone when you do so. Flash things can't have that much protection because they are just that, flash things.

cheating is fun in smash bros because you can do stuff like, play as the sandbag (see avatar)
or play on the break the targets stages
you basically get to od stuff in places that werent designed for that stuff

Like playing a battle match on the home run contest track

cheats in single player = good only if you have beaten the game (thug[tony hawk]- complete all goals, unlock all cheats)
cheats in multiplayer = bad, go die if you use them
cheats against friends = funny, but don't abuse them
