I can say I do not like any Anime I've seen, and can conclude that I dislike most Anime.

I highly disagree, from when I was in the US I hardly saw any anime what so ever. Maybe about 60% of people who regularly use the Internet between the ages 12-25 like anime but where the hell do you live where 99% of the people watch anime...I only know two people in my grade (out of ~55 people) who watch a lot of anime and I personally don't like it. I don't really care for classifying a genre by how it's drawn but rather than the type of plot and development. Death Note is the only anime I've ever enjoyed and I might continue to watch Speed Grapher but I honestly could care less that it's anime.

Okay, "more than 99%" was obviously an exaggeration. There's no possible way anybody can give a remotely accurate percent of people that like anime because it depends on where you live and what type of people you interact with.

When I was in school, just about everybody in my classes had anime pictures printed out for their binders, wrote Japanese on the whiteboards while the teacher wasn't around, and listened to blaring J-pop in their headphones during P.E. And yes I mean "just about everybody" this time. It's so bad where I live (and undoubtedly other places as well) that if there is a choice between American and Japanese voice, all the little ****ing weeaboos pick Japanese because IT'S JAPANEEEEESE and it's soooo much better than the American voice-over BECAUSE it's JAPANEEEEEEEEEEESE. The voice actor choices are also WORLDS better too, of course.

If you lived in a place where it was less popular, kickass, I'd like to go there sometime. Where I live, it's a ****ing plague. I was at a birthday party with about 11 people, most I knew, and I was literally the only person who disliked anime, and I got serious **** for it, even from my friends.

Bottom line, I could ask you WHERE THE HELL DO YOU GET 60% but next time anyone says 99% you might want to re-evaluate how serious they are.

i cant choose what my favorite anime is. theres too many of em, Fullmetal alchemist, deathnote, bleach, one piece, naruto, higurashi no naku koro ni, all lolicon (non-hentai) and animes with yandere girls. yea im sick but the real world gets boring.

In video games and movies, I find Japanese voices to be better because I "feel" more emotion and depth. It might just be a fundamental difference in the way the languages sound, but a happy Japanese voice sounds so much happier than a happy American one, and likewise, a really evil, angry Japanese voice SOUNDS REALLY ANGRY.

As for music, there are lots of great songs in any given language, really. There's a lot of crap, too. It's just a matter of sifting.

Like your analysis of music, it depends on the game you play. Go play a Dynasty Warriors and listen to the voice acting... good GOD it makes ME want Japanese voice over. Now, go play Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. The English voice acting is incredible. I didn't mean to say there isn't a good reason to choose the Japanese voices, but when the English is better, it's better. I know people who prefer the Japanese voice in Disgaea, and it's almost insulting because the Japanese voice pales in comparison to the English voice. Etna is nails on a chalkboard and Gordon doesn't have the ridiculous flair.

Heh, sorry XD That's just me not following many individual (and perhaps lesser-known?) anime too.

Also, I like anime but my selection is very picky. Basically, any anime that becomes mainstream to the point where I go into a store and the merchandise from aisle 2 is assaulting my eyes sucks. That goes for Death Note, Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, etc. Are they good anime? Depends on the person watching. I'd consider Welcome to Greenwood a good anime but hardly anyone knows what that anime is. Point is, anime is a cartoon that takes bigger risks to present stories that normal cartoons are incapable of doing. When was the last time you saw Spongebob bring upon the end of the world via a large bio-robot and a naked chick? Exactly.

The poll is biased as the internet and FFR in particular has a user base of a lot of people who like anime. In reality where I am there were only two people who really like anime out of 60 but there may be some local communities with a lot of people who like anime...but from what I've seen there aren't a lot especially in southern Ontario.

I dislike anime as much as i dislike most of what TV has to offer me besides movies and comedy shows. Anime itself though.. I get quite tired of the very generic graphical style(I'll generalise here), the stereotyped personalities, emotions, and all these 'perfect' characters bug me a little. Also, I can't help but always relate anime to Hentai, even if there is none(well, there's always some ecchi) in most anime. But then, I've never watched many, and I don't think I'm missing too much.

On the other hand, I love drawn, non animated art and stories, such as just art, or mangas(a little), doujinshis, because it just doesn't show as much stereotyped crap as I see in animes. Or I don't notice it as much anyway.
I really do believe there's some good anime and manga stuff out there... but I really am not interested in finding it. Generally, it sucks.

Oh and for people who like Hentai doujins, don't ever read them in English, you'll want to laugh more than to fap. It's freaking hilarious.
