Over rated: Halo(3 mainly), Gears of War, and Final Fantasy VII all instantly come to mind. I like all 2 of these games, save for Gears of War (it's just. Too garbage.), but seriously. These games are a HUUUUGGGEEE deal, when they should NOT be.

Under rated: ****ING MISCHIEF MAKERS. and Unreal Tournament III ;_; Everyone's still too busy sucking off Bungie and Infinity Ward to notice UT3..

I know but still. Maybe I missed something, but Assassin's Creed was UNDER rated, if anything. I barely heard anything about it before it came out, and I barely heard anything about it about 2 weeks after it came out.

It's a great game, not the best, too repetitive, but I don't know how anyone gets the feeling of over rated from AC.

To be honest, Gears of War isn't overrated. When it was released, not only was the gameplay "good", but the graphics a year ago for it was godly. It was the best looking game ever. I don't really consider it overrated. GoW2 might, but from what I see it's a huge improvement.

I never played MGS in my life so no comment there.

Graphics don't mean much to me, and I hate the gameplay. You can't run and shoot at the same time, and you can't really run and turn simultaneously.
