Re: X-box 360
Which I've said before, many times.
I just can't see myself spending $300+ on one game, even if it's a Tales game. I think what I'm going to do is borrow someone else's 360 and buy the game for myself, though nobody around me has one, so...Comment

Re: X-box 360
well maybe if you find some other games that could make the 360 worth buying?? you know the 360's library is quite bigComment

Re: X-box 360
So, I finally broke down and bought myself a next-gen console. 360 won out.
Getting the pro console for £180 plus special offers mean I get Halo 3 for £10 and GTA IV for £20.
Now I just have to choose a couple other games and I'm all set. I have a list of 17 that I want heh.Comment

Re: X-box 360
CoD4 can wait, too much at the moment.
There we go, all the orders have been placed.
Xbox 360 pro + extra wired controller (I prefer wired anyway) + GTA IV + Halo 3 + Blue Dragon + Top Spin 3 + Assassin's Creed collectors Edition.
3 vouchers used (one for GTA IV, one for Halo 3, one for Blue Dragon)
Total: £300. Not bad really seeing as how Xbox Pro + Rock band is £320.Comment

Re: X-box 360
If you buy it while buying the console it only costs £10, might as well see what the fuss is about as I've only played the first one.
Telvanni - Yeah, I plan on having fun with it. The collector's edition was only an extra £2 (£20) so I thought "why not".
Apart from Top Spin 3, all those games are on sale or have an offer of some sort.Comment

Re: X-box 360
So, guess I can give a little review of what I'm thinking so far.
GTA IV - Really amazing graphics, I think it's pretty fun so far.
Halo 3 - Fun enough so far but I'm not used to using a controller with such sensitive movement (even at 1). I guess I'm more used to a mouse and keyboard and how precise they are.
Blue Dragon - Nice graphics, I like the "DBZ / Dragon Quest" look. Looks like a decent amount of customisation to keep me going.
Top Spin 3 - Seems a bit "soulless" but is still a fun game to play in bursts of 30 minutes or so, just a couple of games at a time.
Assassin's Creed - The story was not what I was expecting at all. Nice surprise. Controls take me a bit of getting used to (again, too much mouse and keyboard + PS2 handles differently) but I'm getting there.
I also bought two more games.
Eternal Sonata - Beautiful game, and the music has captivated me. I think I'll really enjoy this.
Tony Hawk's Project 8 - Wanted to try another TH game as I haven't played one since THPS4. It's addictive and still very fun. They've added some stuff since THPS4 though that I'm not used to. Like "nail the trick".Comment

Re: X-box 360
If you ever end up getting any games on the XBLA.
I recommend Geometry Wars and Ikaruga (unless you already have it for GC)Comment

Re: X-box 360
Good choice. Project 8 was one of the better versions of the newer ones. Only one I really got into other than the N64 versions.
If you're into another skating game, I'd recommend .skate. Instead of being over-the-top, .skate tries to capture the feeling of being happy over the simpler things. The list of things you can do isn't as massive, but pulling certain tricks off gives you such a great feeling.Comment
