No support from me. Just like the old, crappy, off-sinc synthlight stepfiles, BGs will give new users feel of how FFR used to be a while back when FFR was still young.
There aren't any BGs added with new songs anymore, and the new stepfiles are in-sinc.

What's the point of making something easier if it could be easier for everyone? You would still be ranked the same if everyone played the file with the background off.
IMO I think party 4 u is more fun with the background, and if YOU would have the option to turn the background off while I play it with the background on, then you would have a better chance of getting a higher score than me.

In before Tasselfoot: While he personally doesn't like backgrounds, just as people have mentioned earlier, historical things like backgrounds and blue-note files are never going to be changed, or optioned out because of the historical value to the site as a whole. It would be unfair to anyone who earned their scores with the backgrounds, and since everyone is equally handicapped by them, it's just the same overall as though there were no backgrounds.
