It makes me really happy that I probably won't have to play a tiebreaker this round.
=D
Though we may be in different divisions, I feel the same. The expert division, as always, is too competitive. Right now, to advance, you have to score a booflag or AAA. There's too much heat.
Thank you everyone for another horrible "official" tournament. This is the second time in a row that I have lost in an "official" tournament with 1 good. Maybe if I sucked more, I would be able to pass with 100 goods like Beginner. I feel that the song choice for the five divisions and the lack of thought and time into the player placement displayed the most lack of balance I have ever seen in any online game. You have judged player's skill based off their player stats, but at the time, my average rank was in the 6 digits. When I was put up against players with average ranks in the double digits, it was obvious that I didn't have a fair chance that was assumed to be appointed to me for joining an official tournament. Thank you.

Hopefully this is good enough to get me to the next round.
I can't believe there's still so many beginners rofl.

It's called "SUCK IT UP" and "WAIT FOR NEXT TOURNEY" So you lost with one good. And? It's a tourney. One player (5 in this case) and two runners up (Total of 15 people) come out on top. Some of the beginners are actually really good. But they don't flood anything with complaints. Sprite's doing us a big favor to have this tournament. So if you don't want to lose with one good, just don't join the tournaments! It's that simple!
Good luck to everyone still in the tournament, and for those who are no longer in the runnings (except this guy) you've all done your best. Try a little harder next time.

Let's address your fallacies... 1. you couldn't possibly have an average rank in the 6 digits. if you had a score of 0 on every score, you'd still only have 5 digits. 2. i spent about 8 hours selecting the songs for the tournament out of the limited selection that was in the queue... and did the best that i could possibly do out of the choices available. in SM, i thought everything was hard enough. in some cases, i likely was a bit wrong. i've already apologized for that... even though it's really not my fault. in addition to the time i spent, jx and sprite also spent hours verifying my work on the tournament songs. 3. sprite and devonin spent days sorting people into the correct divisions. sprite checked every single user's levelrank stats, going through it meticulously. in addition, sprite and devonin had every participants TPs, overall rank, average rank, # of AAAs, # of FCs, etc etc... tons of data to use to make the best decision they could on placement with the data available.
basically... you have absolutely no right to try and trash something that we've put so much time and effort into... and you've been participating in for free, with cash and merchandise prizes. it isn't our fault that you're upset in not being able to AAA your song. would you be any less upset if you got 50 goods on a song when you needed 49 to advance? i doubt it.
Guys. This tournament was meant to clean out the queue to have room for newer, better files.
There aren't enough hard files for master and expert to have, I heard expert will be skipping the next VC and going to FMO or something like that, not sure.
Sprite explained to me why the songs are easy for most to AAA so i dont even care if im out from a blackflag anymore since it was more of a clear out the queue event then a tourney.
