I don't have 8 yet so I'm not sure about this for 8, but I know that for 7 and before you could only do bends with native FL vsts. This is done in the piano roll with note slides, which are found in the top left of the piano roll. FL slides the length of the note and will slide to the slide note's pitch as fast as that note's length.

I never understood exactly what the 4 send things in the mixer do. Can anyone give an explanation? I've tried reading some articles on it, but they only confuse me. Any help is appreciated.

The send channels are slots that you can "send" the signal from any other slots into, which are then sent to the master slot. This means you can apply one set of FX to multiple slots. It was mostly used in FL 5 and before that, because I believe it was FL 6 which allowed for the chaining of any slot into any other slot. At this point in time I don't believe there is a reason for these send slots anymore because of this chaining ability, other than perhaps to act as "dedicated" send slots.

How exactly do you string together different pitchs in fast streams seen in {Rose}.

Use a sound that has an early attack. Majestic sounds like in orchestral instruments generally have a some sort of fade-in that will delay the attack. If you want something quick like Rose, use an instrument that has a climax frequency immediately as it is played.

Give more details if you want a clearer answer.

Well this makes absolutely no sense at all. I'm going to assume you're talking about portamento though..

There's a little portamento on {Rose}'s fast streams (I think?) and I guess it kinda makes them "string" together.

Not sure what he used for that particular lead but porta comes with most VSTs. If you're messing with FL-native vsts you'll find it under the MISC tab in the channel settings.

The box with the '--' in it (aka max polyphony) is the maximum amount of notes you can let in simultaneously. -- is infinite. "Porta" obviously makes notes slide. The 'Slide' knob shows you how much time it slides (it measures in steps in the top left corner). Mono makes it so that only one note is allowed through at a time (similar to setting the max polyphony to 1). Sorry if this wasn't what you were trying to get at, but it's how you made it seem. :x

I think he just sequenced 16th notes actually, and let the waveform envelope take care of the "slide" sound.

Actually, no. Hit F5 and it'll open up the playlist. You can take one pattern and play it over and over for as long as you want. For example, I'm making a kick pattern, and I want it to repeat for a while. I simply use the pencil or paint tool and write in how many times I want it to repeat, shown in the screenshot below.

                    Onto my question...

I've seen volume envelopes in multiple .flp files (see reference below), which provide more effective crescendos and decrescendos, yet I can't figure out how to them through FL's help index (Which doesn't help with much else, really). Can anyone explain the process to get to volume envelopes?

In that particular picture, they took an Insert's volume slider(1) and created an automation clip like that, but I personally prefer using the volume multiplier(2) because it's more precise (50% = default volume).

Actually, yes he does, for what he asked for. He wants the melody to change around a lot. What you have there is only gonna get one rhythm.

And for your question on envelopes, you can just right click any knob (as far as I know) and say "make automation clip". It'll than appear in the playlist, and you can tweak at your will.

post-dumps abstractly represent the existential nihilism that the song invokes in the listener with negative space, evoking the ephemeral nature of the mind - the journey of stepmania begins in hope yet soon becomes corroded into a dialectic of futility, leaving only a sense of dread and the unlikelihood of a new synthesis

                                first:
i don't seem to find any way for create a volume envelope or a crescendo/decrescendo volume... you know maybe make enter slowly some violin or wind but... no way to do it or i just can't find any way or preset or other... i'm new to using sequencer so any link to something that can help me find some stuff for this is appreciated...

                                second:
i was trying to use the korg m3 editor as vst inside fl and it works but.. i needed to use it for the karma possibilities but i can't find a way to use the karma in fl.. it is possible?
afterall karma are normal midi signal but can't find a way to use it in FL on a desidered channel that i want... i want use the midi signal emitted from m3 vst with karma on external sound

                                Tnx for any response
