i was just wondering if you are allowed to do tourneys with no prizes...except maybe having their names posted on the hosts profile or something....(i just rly want to start a tourney but for now, dont have enough credits)

also, if im allowed...would anyone actually be interested in joining...?

Bolth Mann, you cannot run a tournament without any prizes.

Before you create a tournament, you must:

-Have a prize for the winner(s). If the prize will be credits, you must have enough credits on your own to give out a prize. Do not create a tournament and soley rely on donations to get you prize credits. ***If your tournament will have any FFR-related or cash prizes other than credits, ie. shirts, subscriptions, stickers, anything from the FFR Shop, the money must be sent to tasselfoot@gmail.com via paypal to be held in escrow until the tournament is over. Make sure you send a PM to Tasselfoot to let him know that you have sent it. He will then distribute the prizes to the necessary members.***
Copied from one of the stickies in this subforum. See here: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=92006

Additionally, you cannot start a tournament anyways, for you must have at least 100 posts without postwhoring.

-Have at least 100 posts (no postwhoring). This will ensure that you have been a part of the forums for enough time to understand them, and also that you know the community enough to be able to handle it. It's also a plus if you are known by most of the regulars of the forum. There may be some rare exceptions to this rule depending on the circumstances.

I don't understand... how exactly do tournaments work in the first place?
