The problem with finding a speed component frusterating is that

a) The rounds with subjective completion chances have no time component. There's no reward for submitting a main song round faster than someone else, you have all tourney to work on them

b) The rounds with a time component are all ones that it is generally expected that everyone will be able to complete. When it's just "Solved" or "Not Solved" if there's no time component, I expect basically everybody to have all the points from all of them, thus rendering them pretty much irrelevant to the overall score in the first place.

The way to correct B) is to make the bonus round with a time component be things that are simply impossible to ever "beat" (Say games without an end to their levels, and the ranking is how far in you can get) or to make them as ridiculously difficult as you can manage to ensure that not everyone is capable of solving them.

I don't really find either alternative especially savoury, so I have a time component to my competition.

smartdude's right, though. The physics aren't really the best. There's times when the ball hit the wall at almost a paralell angle, then proceeded to bounce off horrifically. Sometimes the ball rides the wall, or even goes through it (how I beat 22). All I have to say is...
