I dont get why Cobalt have no bar option with their pads.

Simply because there are some people out there that believe playing DDR/ITG/PIU while holding the bar is considered "cheating", though their logic makes no ****ing sense whatsoever.

And yes, Mesh pads absolutely fail at life. Go to an arcade or buy yourself a metal one.

Saying that holding the bar during a game is "cheating" is just a way for others to feel better for the fact that they don't need the bar. I don't say anything to anyone while they play because I do both, I go barless when I'm good at the song and when It comes to songs like any of the max or paranoia (the 200bpm+ ones) i'll "barhug".
