Dont play to get good, play because you enjoy the game, enjoy the music. If you start to get better, that's just a bonus. I'm sure you started playing 3 years ago because you thought this game was fun right? It sounds like you've lost that somewhere and you need to pick it up again, plus you could always try stepmania if you don't like FFRs 20 FPS cap.
Oh i cant aaa **** on sm either, i have 1 aaa out of...2138 songs? Thats only because i got the real ddr mixes and got lucky on trip machine >_>
i started playing cause i thought it was funny as to how i couldnt pass beethoven virus.
but i remember when i started to get good i always would be in the ffr chat like "play me in this 1 song" cause its all i could play xD i thought i was the **** back then
from reading this *ahem* high-calibur thread all i can deduce is no one's response is going to suit you since not one person has gotten it right. So i guess my response is
._.

You think you won't get better, you have very low self esteem.
That's not good.
Everyone started out bad, and if you don't keep practicing consistently, you will NOT improve.
9000 games in 3 years, that's 3000 per year.
That's around 8 per day, and I highly doubt you played consistently.
You probably a LOT for some time, and quit for some time in those 3 years, and a lot of them being Excite Bike auto fails and Free Space auto fails, ecetera.
So, you really didn't have the chance to improve. Don't freak out.
Your solution to this: Play 6-7 games per day, not too much, even it out. Play with mods, or start playing Stepmania with songs that are a bit over your skill level.
For example, I practice with My Spirit Will Go On, because I think it's fun and kinda challenging. I also raise my Constant every week. I started out as C350, raise by C10 every week, and now I'm at C800. It's all cool.
Just consistency. Just like sports. Consistency is key! ;]
im on and im not supposed to, anywho, i play whatever songs i feel like playing like on SM, ill play easy songs, hard songs, get pissed off, play ffr, get pissed ect.
I fc some fmo's at times, i just have bad accuarcy and playing songs that are harder wont inprove that. >_>
Seeing how your an Elite FFR Supporter that has no motivation to go play, or feel optimistic.. Meh.
I don't get WHY you're turning down all these advices, or words of help that other people are giving you.
I know that this thread is a rant thread, but if you rant, and then not take the time solve the problem, or not even try, then you WILL keep on ranting in the future and you WILL feel miserable.
Come on, step up to the game. Be more optimistic, try out all these advices that people are giving you, because they are spending their time, typing out a word of help to you.
So listen to them, don't turn it down, saying "It won't work for me."
Try them all, I'm sure something is bound to work. Nothing is impossible.
don't feel bad
i've been here 4.5 years and haven't AAA'd anything over level 6
i only have one level 5 AAA i think
i don't even have a non-mash level 10 FC, lol
just um
practice and play spread
fyi tribal style is an easy level 7, but it's a skill token <.<'
oh and set yourself some short-term goals like me
i rock
@ Onehand, yea i woke up today and im like, "Im probably coming off as i dont want anyones advice," i was juat really pissed off, and and as some said increase the speed mod and play harder songs....2.0 is just too fast to get used to and i already play the uber hard songs and that stuff, usually i play very challenging or challenging.
Like someone said, play more consistantly, i am, i set a goal of 2-3 hours this morning, per day. Lets see what happens
Maybe stepmania would be better for you. FFR might be hard to tell where the timing windows are.
I agree with that. Besides, playing Stepmania gives you no peer pressure (no more highscore board looking down on you, no more "already AAA'd lmfao u sux" kinda feeling)
StepMania just focuses on improving YOURSELF, by comparing your scores to your old scores.
So, go download a few good packs, a good theme, a good metrics.ini {suited for you}, and you're on your way to supahgodlyness. {With 2-3 hours per day?! Wow, that's a lot of practice.}
Yea i have SM, posted about it on page 1. I play at c600, note skins, i have 2000+ songs...so i have something to do. Thanks for that advice though, should i maybe go for c650?
