His point is, if all you do with Fox is use his really fast teleport move off the stage, you have no hope beating a Link who knows how to use his entire move set to his advantage.
Basically, just because you play a top tier character doesn't mean you automatically win.

Characters in this game have move sets that allow for you to do certain things to either rack up damage, or kill MIRITE? Some characters have ****TY movesets that don't allow for you to do too much.
For example, DeDeDe can chainthrow most characters to the end of a stage and rack up a good amount of damage each time, if he gets you chain grabbed against a wall you are going to lose over 100%, he has the gordo things that make for good camping, and blocking projectiles. He has extremely strong attacks, and hes a crazy ass tank that is pretty hard to kill. His mulitple jumps allow him to edge guard well. He's easily one of the best characters in the game.
Now Sonic. What moves of his lead into combos?
Well heres a video of a decent looking sonic. Watch him play. How many of his moves lead into combos? Like none? How could is he for edge guarding? Not very good. Any chain grabs? No. Infinites? No. Is he strong? No. Does he die fairly easy? He's light, so yes. Is he good? Nope, sorry.
Now the logic is OBVIOUSLY very hard to understand for you, but things like that are what makes and breaks characters. Agree if you want, I don't care because you are not good at the game and don't know it well.Comment

I'm actually going to have to side with 12awr here. If you're playing with equal skilled people, it's not unusual that a "better" character will beat the other. Especially if the map comes down to just Final Destination, no items.
I can't think of a case where that would be true in SSBB yet because I'm not all too good and I've never played online and only with my friends. And we always have all items on except for stopwatch and we random our maps. I started to random my characters as well because I want to get better with characters other than Link and Snake.
However, I can think of other games where PVP is exactly like that. Take World of Warcraft, no matter how skilled I am as a priest, an equally skilled warrior will always beat me in PVP 100% of the time. It's just a fact I can't get around.

Just because YOU PERSONALLY never saw a video of someone playing well with a character doesn't mean the character automatically sucks. It's just like what we were saying a few pages ago against the person who said Pit was terrible solely because he never saw someone play well with Pit.Comment

That Sonic player was playing it like garbage. Made so many mistakes right off the bat, and couldn't even connect a hit on the slow-ass Bowser before taking multiple hits on himself. At one point he even left himself open to a Bowser's slow**** forward smash. I could play Sonic better than that and I suck major ass at Sonic in particular.
And no, no one is saying Sonic is a good character or something. We're just saying that even though he might be far from the best, he is still more than capable when put in the hands of a player who is both competent with that particular moveset and knows general tactical rules of gameplay.
ps you talk about infinite chain grabs and that ****... THOSE ARE ****ING PROGRAMMING OVERSIGHTS, YOU JACKASS. No, you are not supposed to ****ing pin your enemy in a corner and rack up potentially infinite damage. THAT IS JUST ****ING STUPID, and it's **** like that that's gamebreaking.

I think I'm beginning like Afrobean.
On a side note, I have a freind who is very good with sonic. Most of sonic's attacks rack up damage, but his back kick and regular forward smash are very powerful after 70+ damage.AAA's = 800

i tried with sonic XD i couldn't get used to him because his killer is a side smash and i'm used to defeat my enemies by sending them up (unless is a heavy character) soo i guess i could use sonic against slow charactersComment
