So, I've played 19,999 games. I have to do something good for my 20k. I won't be playing FFR until I'm confident in my ability to do something awesome.
Game 20k = Silence FC attempt. Epic.

Not much, except that I can't concentrate on this stupid ranking system. I don't even have that much left as far as revising the existing system. Have a few ideas for easier requirements, but nothing concrete yet. Oh, and I've been improving at FFR in general.
Korny plays 4 fingered. Which, in comparison to 3 fingers, is multiple times easier.
I tried 4 finger... its so crowded and I don't get how it could be easier than 3 finger. sure, u are using 4 fingers then, but they have less room to move. eh, but I guess I just suck at it

Post some scores of you playing 4 fingered and tell me what you get. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY YEARS IT TOOK ME TO DEVELOP MY SKILLS INTO WHAT THEY ARE TODAY WITH THE USE OF MY THUMB?! 3 to be exact and it wasn't easy at all. So stfu. Easier to get better scores? Sure. With amazing amounts of practice you ignorant son of a bitch.

I'm thinking two things. First, that's a bit harsh. Second, I'm partly with you, I think that physically it's less problematic trying to hit the down arrow with your thumb than it is with using middle finger for both up and down. On the other hand, it takes a while to get used to, and there is also the factor of anatomy. Your thumb is wired very differently from your other fingers. It's designed for different functions, tapping isn't really one of them. It's also harder to coordinate your thumb with your other fingers. Your other fingers are easier to do so with, because they're wired that way. Thumb is basically independent from the other fingers. Same principle (although to a higher degree IMO) as using two hands, coordination-wise. A well-accomplished spread player (forget who and in which thread) told me it was easier for him to PA AIM Anthem one-handed because with all the jumps, it's easier to hit the keys at the exact same time with fingers on the same hand than with both hands. Same thing, easier to hit jumps more accurately with index, middle, and ring fingers than it is with your thumb and another finger, except more so. I remember these things because I've broken fingers and had a doctor or two go into great detail about the anatomy of the hand and the functions, tendons, etc. that they share, and where they differ. The second time the doctor who looked at my (broken and dislocated) finger was actually a specialist in the hand.
So I believe that there are advantages and disadvantages to both, and either way can be easier, it just depends on the person and which disadvantage they can overcome easiest.

Yes, that'd be greatly welcomed. I'm looking for requirements that are easier than the existing ones at the moment. Later once I've finished enough easier requirements, then I'll work on requirements of all skill levels.
Hey, you know it took me almost 3 years to get good playing WITHOUT my thumb, so complaining isn't necessary. Of course it's gonna take time to get good when you play with only one hand. No need to tell us, as I recall this as being a thread for one handers. The fact is that anyone who's never played a certain style is going to say stupid things or assume things. Sure I've never ACTUALLY played with 4 fingers on one hand, but looking at it from an unbiased viewpoint, doesn't it make sense to assume that having one finger on each key makes sense as being easier than using 3 fingers, especially for one handers who use the middle finger only for up and down keys? Logically, it's gonna make more sense that using one finger for about 45-55% of the notes in every song seems harder than splitting it 25-35% of the notes per finger. Ya, I think it does. Bitch.
The ability to lick the clit and the vagina and apply gentle pressure at the same time with one upward lick is something the small tongued of us can only dream about.

Going on 10-hour overnight marathon on this. I'm aiming for at least 20 new point reqs.
All of you who think I'm crazy, that this marathon is unnecessary, that the whole ranking system isn't worth it... you're probably right, but I like doing this and there are still some one-handers that are interested.
About me being crazy... well, um, can't really disprove that. Think what you will.

Red. You're an idiot. Try using your thumb for a year and tell me how easy it is. Better yet, try two years and see if you're able to coordinate the use of it. You won't be able to do it. I guaran****ingtee it.
Um, actually, nowhere in Red's post does he say that four fingers is easier than with three. He follows sets of logic that point towards that belief without injecting personal bias. Doesn't make him an idiot, makes him competent at debating things like this.
Hm, and looking back, you haven't provided any compelling evidence towards your case other than your own personal experience. Heck, I provided more evidence for your case than you did. And that was me only exploring the one side of the issue. If you're going to argue and debate, provide logical arguments based in facts and theories please. Personal experience only holds so much weight.
In addition, I think the challenge is unfair. Hypothetically if either of you lost, you have nothing to lose, and by doing that Redo would waste two years of his life. If either of you won, you'd get nothing. Pointless.
10 hour marathon is over for me. Some 40+ new opportunities to gain points now. As I say in the post, I still have plenty of harder requirements to add, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
Just one warning: Everything is probably error-ridden, in some cases incomplete (ie: missing links to song pages or genre names).
Have fun. Any errors you find, tell me and I'll fix them. I'm accepting suggestions too.
