Precisely. I was simply making my point. Items can give a huge advantage, but if both people have access to the same items, then I would not consider it a "huge" disadvantage, though it can be overwhelmingly advantageous to those who get powerful items like Final Smashes. If anything, if you want a "fair" duel, then allow final smashes and nothing else; I think items make a duel interesting. In addition, it adds an interesting tactical advantage that can be exploited for your use. So, in a way, items are even more pro then without.
