I still do not like the text. I tried the text you posted, but you can barely see what the the text says because of the size. Any more suggestions?

Here's, uh, something I made... It's not a grunge font, but I think it fits... There are lots of small arrows in the background, but you can't really see them. And you wanted arrows, so I put them there... And I could always take them out if you think it would look better, or try something completely different... or whatever you like. Yeah, if you think you'd rather have something with a border or something..
I might make a banner and background with something like the background in that avatar... D'uhm, depends on if you like the avatar, yeah..

On your new one that you're making, make the arrows each like 5 times smaller and make a crapload of them.

So in that size avatar, there should be like 30ish ... and make an arrow for one of each color, and put some pimp effects on them ... like some wavy-motion blur ... haven't had PS in forever, but I believe there's an option on there for "wave" or "ocean" or something.

Also, nah ... I don't think you know what I mean when I went "/////////."

I'll try to find an example ... but it basically looks exactly like that.

If you could maybe add a little more blue cloud on the left so that you can see the "x" too, that'd be great. Red arrow looks okay, but the green and blue definitely don't. Green just because it clashes with the background, and the blue could fit if it was a different hue.

And I like that theme ... I've always loved clouds and stuff ... if you could make a banner, I'll get more of an idea of what you're thinking.



So I've decided that you guys have put a lot of work into those ... so if I get more submissions from different people, the top three that I like will all at least get substantial credit prizes ... and if no one else is interested ... well you get them anyway. =)

Cool ... glad you took my advice with EnR's banner. Text would look cool if it was a different font ... that font was NOT made to spell my name lol.

Also, the black and white arrows in the background behind the text look way too cluttered ... maybe just go for simple. Do ONE black and white arrow pointing left or right, and make it motion blurred or something.

lol is that the FFR noteskin version for Stepmania? In any case, it'd be cool if each one of them had a subtle special effect like a motion blur ... except the motion blur was waved (ask me if you don't know what that means).

Damn I'm not sure if I can find an example of it, but basically, if I recall correctly, you can achieve it with the smudge tool.

Take the note layer, duplicate it, then apply motion blur to it, then take the smudge tool and mess with the duplicate until you get a tail-like effect.

Messed around with the arrows on the avatar a bit more, blended better, I hope...



When you were talking about "///////", did you mean diagonal scan lines? Those one-pixel diagonal lines?
