Ok..

I use hidden because it makes harder songs easier..

If the stepfile is offbeat, it does not matter.. I play with my eyes and with my ears. (Yes, I can tell when an arrow is suppposed to hit by looking and not just by listening)

I play the same with C400 as I do with C600. On the harder songs (1/16ths with jumps) I miss a lot of the arrows due to the speed. With C400 on I miss less but my MA/PA/GA is considerably worse. It evens out.
