Yeah, in Memphis 20 F is some of the coldest you will see in winter.

A few years back we had a nice ice storm, left a half foot thick of ice everywhere, and it was around 10F I think. That's when me and my brother got out the bike, scooter, and roller blades and started seeing how far we could/slide before we fell...pretty fun stuff.

Gotta understand, ice in Memphis is like a miracle in itself. So that half a foot of ice was like, WTF do we do with this?

I don't know how cold it was, but everything had a thick layer of ice on it.

Where I live, the weather's not that extreme. The coldest weather I can recall was on a ski trip to Lake Tahoe. It was about ten degrees Fahrenheit.

The only reason I had to go outside for a while today was because my classes aren't all in one building. I have to run from place to place around campus.

I had to wait for the bus at less than -30 degrees celcius (windchill...) with only a sweater on. It sucked...

This isn't the coldest we've had, but where I live it's supposed to be -47 Celsius tomorrow with the windchill. For the Americans, that's around -52 or so.

-50 F with a windchill of -68 F in Duluth, Minnesota my freshman year in college. Take a super soaker full of hot water, pump it, then shoot it out a window or outside at that temp. You have instant snow.

I got sucked into a space-vacuum one time. It was probably around -273.15° C, which was pretty cold because I forgot my jacket.
