Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
I believe they are game demos. Or at least some of them are demos while others are the full thing. Who knows.
Probably demos since the virtual console charges money for the actual game and all. This game has enough content as it is, though.
@Gamer: That's been the plan, yeah. I've said before I only play online games with people I know, and since all of my friends will be mooching off of my copy of the game (seeing as they don't have a Wii), I won't have any real-life friends to be playing with.
The idea is just to post the 12-digit code in this thread the day we all get the game. Which, for me, might not be until mid to late March depending on this rumor about quantities of shipments of the game. I've had it pre-ordered since October, but who knows how many people are ahead of me in line.Comment

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
This could be bad because I haven't pre-ordered a copy. Parents don't trust online game retailers. Golf online retailers are totally honest about everything, but certainly not games.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
You could try the website.
Find it here: http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/
Go to characters. Also, there may be more new characters out that we do not know yet because the game has yet to be released.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
i need to stop by and finally finish paying my copy off. i'm pretty sure the reservations at my store alone are over 100 now. That's... quite alot from such a small gamestop location
"Limited quantities" is looking less like a rumor these days.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
R.O.B is not playable because he appears to be an enemy from the Subspace Emissary.
Also, as said before, R.O.B has only made appearances as a sideline character with no significance. You can race with Captain Falcon, but you do not do anything with R.O.B. He just kinda stands there, on the side lines, not doing anything.
EDIT: There appears to be no wave dashing in those videos.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Also, Fox wasn't a playable character outside of his ship until Starfox Adventures. He was in Smash 64 and Melee regardless of that fact.
You're still playing as the character in their natural environment.
R.O.B. is just a peripheral. He's not a playable character in his natural environment.Last edited by Squeek; 01-27-2008, 02:05 PM.Comment

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
From what I remembered, they never said anything about wavedashing. Not saying anything doesn't confirm there's no wavedashing.

Re: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Actually, it was like the first thing they said, since that's what people were most curious about. Now, wavelanding is still possible, but most likely impractical, by doing a ground-level glide into the ground. Not that it'll really matter until the game's been out for a while and everything starts to stabilize.Comment
