Hmmm. I'm slightly confused by the instructions for this riddle. Does each new set of equations have different variable values?
This one is confusing me a bit too. I think what it's set up as three different systems, all of which need their own values for the variables, and no system can have a repeating variable value within that system, meaning that, if the variables worked for each system, the values could be the same for every system. I'm not sure though, so just wait for Devo.
and.. each set of 3 equations has it's own grouping of 1-6, no repeaters. then when you are done, add up the 3 values of A, 3 values of B, etc... to get a new value for each, which is then plugged into the X equation to get your answer.

That's it exactly. I had hoped I made my instructions suitably clear.
For each set of equations (There are three sets of equations seperated by ------------) the variables in that equation will map onto the numbers 1-6 once and only once per variable. So something has to equal 4, and if A equals 4, nothing else will also equal 4.
took me 20 minutes as well. the second one is tricky

anyways, if you guys really like CT, then in the spare time that you have we can all work together on this. supposedly the hardest riddle ever. Please don't cheat and google the answers >.< lets have everyone here work together and see how far we can get. Which means, if you are stuck... reply here? Is this alright with you devon?
notpron is unbelievably old... and has been solved a bunch of times... and there are a bunch of other similar riddles on the net, like zest or the SiMPLE puzzles. etc etc.
not to mention, back when notpron was actually relatively new, we had a thread.... somewhere. was either CT or CC. regardless, this isn't the thread for something like that. hijacking threads is not cool.
edit: if you want a decent challenge that isn't impossible yet is still tough, try my mental puzzle: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=80684 . Rubix solved it in about 2 days with all of the posted hints as well as a bunch of extra hints via AIM. And a group of ~3-5 people from kingdomofloathing.com solved it with just the posted hints. AFAIK, nobody else has solved it.
jonathasdf: YOu know, Roller Coaster Ride is an 8/12, Get Ready 2 Rokk is a 7/12. If you can FC roller coaster, you should make a run on GR2R, we have faith in you
Also, yeah, you can make another thread about it elsewhere, potentially even in CT, but hijacking a thread in general, and hijacking a tourney thread in particular, not a good plan.
did you not get my answer? i swear i sent you a pm
