yeah, my problem isnt with the CT, but lies on the other end, the fact that i suck at AAAing anything, ill lose pts on the song rounds but if you take just the CT rounds i would think id have a shot at at least top 3

That's the precise reason why both categories scale points to the same general level. Being first in on a riddle is as good as a AAA, and there's at least 1 point per riddle and one point per song just for submission, no matter how late/poorly you do.

If I go 10 rounds (My goal) there's the potential for 100 points per player. I'm expecting the winner to be likely to come in over 90, but the top 3 or 4 could go as low as 70 points, requiring a 4 point riddle per round, and a 3 point showing on songs.

I believe the next song is going to be rather a bit harder, but expect some fairly easy songs as well. It isn't beyond the realm of the possible that you could end up with a 1-4 difficulty song in there.

That was the point of the exercise though. That anyone who knew some/most of the numbers from personal knowledge had a speed advantage. However, as per my message, you have one wrong value, but it's easy enough to re-check. I think you've got the 5 points in the bag, well done.

got home... got values in 15 minutes... plugged into equation in another 4 minutes... got a song ID that doesn't exist. .


edit: tried changing D based on something I saw vs what I used initially.... got a different song ID that doesn't exist.

I've made a change to the riddle for round three. I've added in one more number to find, and slightly modified the final step of determining which song to play. If you've already copy-pasted the information to solve elsewhere, you'll want to look it over again, though anybody who submits me the answer that was correct before the changes will maintain their place in line as having answered.

I've notified the two people who already sent me correct answers via PM what the new result is. Aplogies for any inconvenience this causes people who've already grabbed the text of the round's problem.
