Wow anyone have any tips for Mauvais Garcon? I was finishing off songs I haven't played today and WTF? ***...not even close to **** either even after practice LOL. GG

I almost got the 5* on TTFATF though. 550k, 92%. If I get a better sp path it should be pretty easy.

jesus, I'm so ****ing close on mauvais garcon, I've gotten -1 5 different times in different spots, and I'm sooo pissed. I can't FC and it's bull****. Sorry Reach I don't know any real tips on it, you just have to practice songs where you need quick transitions between chords, Before I Forget is really good for that, that one sections that goes, 24 13 24 13 24 13 24 35 24... etc. helped me, now I'm good at before I forget and Mauvais garcon.

In other news I broke 500k on Before I Forget and got -3.

I 5 starred raining blood, which was really easy, and I 4 starred TtFatF twice I think, gonna go for the 5 star sometime. I have around 431k so long ways to go.

I can't do The Way It Ends for **** though, I'm stuck on a three star and it's pissing me off, any tips for that?

Guitar Hero 3 is pretty fun. Better than the 1st and 2nd in my opinion.

Looks like we're about the opposite for mauvais garcon and The way it ends. I got like 98% on The way it ends I think...pretty easy XD!!

I had 3 stars on it until I practiced it on slow a lot, and then moved up. Once I had the rhythm memorized it didn't take me very long to 5* it. Assuming you can strum fast enough to do it, it isn't hard once you've got the rhythm...if it's strum speed that's the problem then I don't know D:

And I'm pretty good at before I forget. I can almost FC it. It's not a problem at all for me...I think it's the alt strumming or something on garcon that is throwing me off. I never alt strum chords or alt strum in general unless I have to, but down strumming it for that long is just unrealistic.

I pretty much love this game and yet hate it to death at the same time. There's only about 5 or 6 songs I still can't pass on Expert, and Lou's battle on Expert is so ridiculous >_>;

I FC'd it 4th try I think, it's not altogether that difficult really >_>. Also I've never altstrummed once on it.

Helps to try to think only of the chord transitions themselves, rather than the specific instances of each chord. Also, trying strumming 8ths or something, it might help

I'm good at BiF too (best on the song is -2 notes on the bridge FC otherwise, and I've FC'd the bridge like 3 or 4 times), dunno how you can be good at that and not Mauvais, both are just chords...

By the way, are you on Scorehero? Just wondering.

ya it could be strum speed, I'm not too speedy ahaha. and the fact that I've never used practice mode, I'm thinkin' I might have to though.

and ya I figured you alt strummed for some reason. I alt strum everything. The only song where I don't is Cliffs of Dover and the very beginning of before I forget. I hate only down strumming, I can keep a beat pretty well so I don't need to down strum.

Yea, but I haven't put up any GH3 scores, and the only GH2 scores I posted were my best ones (aside from the several month old ones I didn't update or delete). I guess I just don't bother and play with my friends, occasionally updating status here. I want to get some pictures before I post nice gh3 scores. Plus I'm not happy with about 100% of my gh3 scores right now so.

And I don't know how I'm so bad at it. I wish I knew the answer to that one >_> I'll try it some more another time but it baffles me. I practiced it and everything with no luck.


Also yea, the end of TTFATF is easy. Just do what shash said for the fc.


Am I the only one that has a lag problem at the end of KoC? I was at most -2 today and then I missed TWICE at the end for no apparent reason at all. I got a massive skip when I used my SP and then it just like auto missed me.

Alright, so it's not just me sucking hard then haha.

I didn't overstrum. The path was terrible, as I guess I wasn't expecting to fc it. Six is definitely my most played song, so I have 100%'d it more than once but I don't know why I haven't beaten that score. Every time I purposely try to squeeze and use the correct path I miss, and then when I'm not trying I FC it D:

The most difficult parts for me are the start and the solo. The rest is pretty easy, but I have a huge tendency to choke during the solo when I know it's going to be a record score (I'm good at doing that in general though...holy raining blood choke right now during the chord section after using my SP I missed like 5 times completely ruining an awesome run). This is a part of the reason for my usually bad path because I don't sp on the orange note before the solo where you should, because I'll often miss during the solo.

This game is amazing.
Anyone that says different has either never played or been beaten by it.
I have them all.
On 2 systems.
and I'm in love.
We bought Rock Band and it was equally amazing.
