Wow... it's sad to see a team place so much importance on one player. Sean Taylor died!!! Have we lost the last few games? Absolutely not and I hope the Redskins won't lose these playoff games.

Been a GB fan ever since I found out about them.

As far as the Cowboys are concerned, yes, I think that keeping healthy for the postseason is far more important than setting a new franchise record for win/loss.

As for keeping the Skins out of the playoffs, it really doesn't matter.

The Patriots, on the other hand, were about to set one of those unbelievable records. One of those once-in-all-of-football-history ones. I'm pretty sure any player/coach/GM/owner of a team in such a position would gladly take the risk of injury for the postseason to set that.

A 14-2 record? FAR more mundane, and not something that's going to go down in history as an epic ordeal.

That doesn't make it "meaningless".

That makes it "not as important as being in the Redskins' shoes, yet still a game we don't want to lose without scoring a single touchdown and getting the worst single-game rushing yard record in franchise history".

To me, a "meaningless" game is one where you just don't show up. You don't even play secondaries to keep them from getting injured so they are 100% in case a primary gets injured in the post-season. Ok, so maybe you show up, but you don't put guys on the field. Ok, you put guys on the field, but they don't defend or play football, really. They just kind of stand there.

That's a meaningless game.

Romo played for about the entire game didn't he? If they were trying to keep everyone healthy thats the one player I wouldn't want to risk getting injured.

I want Green Bay to go all the way.. I really do. But then I think Farve wouldn't play anymore. Still. They've been playing great, and I'll be going for them.. Next year.



For now, they can be happy as the NFC champions.

I agree with just about everything on that picture with the exception of AFC Division, I think NE will beat out Jacksonville. That would mean that the Patriots would have to go against the Colts, which can go either way. Either way, I still also have an odd feeling about Seattle taking it as well.
