The thing is, she will probably turn out to be a better mom than her twenty-something-year-old emotionally unstable sister. I'm not particularly surprised that she is pregnant. Sixteen years olds get pregnant all the time these days. Most of them just get abortions, though. I respect her for being so honest about it and taking responsibility.

I just hate how guys are so quick to assume that it is so easy to get an abortion. Regardless on your position on abortions, once you are in a position where you might actually need one, the issue becomes an extremely more difficult situation. And once a girl/woman actually get an abortion it takes a really long time to actually get over it. A lot of them never do.

If she thinks this is the right thing for her to do, then more power to her. The only thing that really bothers me about this entire situation is that she IS a role model to very young girls. This is going to be really awkward to explain to all of her little fans...and even more awkward when they start wanting babies of their own.

I always had seen her different from the rest of her family, and I still am today. She was doing well, but some things came up along the way within the family, and pressured her emotionally. Then she got closer to her boyfriend. Then, she became physically intimate with him. It's not uncommon.

Consider the fact that she may have not been going out of her way to be a rebellious whore, and get pregnant.

She's a person, too. If Britney wasn't the way she was, along with the rest of the family, I think there would be a lot less controversy over this. Disregard them. The press is stupid. Give the kid a break. She made a mistake, and she's going to be dealing with it for the rest of her life.

Edit: Also, if she were to get an abortion, she would be even more socially handicapped. Would not be a smart thing to do in her position. There would be riots in the streets.

I just keep remembering this video that I watched in my Dark Side of Sex class, about prostitutes. Anyway, some of those women are pretty dumb. I guess you can't blame them, judging from how crappy their lives have been in general.
