It was more exact, yes, because they adjusted the day, year, etc to match, but OURs is more precise, because we have a record of how far off our time is down to 60 digits or so, and we can record the time in much more precise measurements, but we just use approximate measurements for larger time lengths.

mayans predicted 2012 nostradamus 2013, and the mayan prediction is so close to 2013 its just like not a coincidense, also if you've ever read a nostradamus book you'd know he was a lot more specific than "theres gonna be a face in a cloud", not only that but he had to write in code so people wouldnt thing hes a psychotic mess, nostradamus could be fake or whatever but i believe that people can have a sixth sense and predict the future and i doubt he spent his life on a bunch of bullshit

I'd bet my money on the world changing polarity. In fact, it's already starting to show signs of it changing. It's going to happen a few years from now up to 1,000 years from now -- or so claims the newspaper. Weh, I think its a better way to die than being blown up by a giant space rock.

Anyway, when/if the world does end, I'm thinkin' I'm gonna have me a gooood time.

I really hope we get advance warning on the end of the world. Like maybe a week. Sure there'd be looting and chaos, but eventually it would sink in that none of that matters. People would steal TVs only to realize that theres still nothing on and pawning is useless because u cant take the money with you when you die. probably by the last day or so people would see the futility in such endeavors and we would all become the loving unified race we always wanted to be. Then we all die the next day. My preferred method of global destruction: Enormous Meteor/Rogue Planet . You know its coming and it ends everything with a real nice fireworks display! Lets all reserve our seats now so we can get a front row view!

The Bible (Isaiah) states that the end will be quite opposite. The lion sleeping with the lamb, the child who plays with the serpent without a risk, and the small child who leads it all. The end of the world, according to Isaiah, is going to be rather peaceful. A utopia.

That sounds pretty reasonable, like calm before the storm. But since its in the bible its kinda iffy, I am a christain but because of the way books were copied back in the day, books often had many mistakes. So with a book as big as the bible, there are countless number of mistakes and contradictions in it to be really helpfull. As for the end of the world who knows? Probably will be war, or polution but we'll have to wait and see i guess...

For a good representation on the end of the world and how the people react, see the film "Last Night". It's Canadian, and it is one of the best films I've ever seen. It gets Mal's seal of approval* and it's on my Top 10 list**.

I had a dream the other night that the world came to an end. Natural disasters of unproportional magnitude, countries going to war with their allies in fear of being attacked, in the name of protection, panic, destruction, and people in hiding.

What would you guys predict would happen if the "world came to an end." Now think about this, the senario would be, there would be a certain number of signs that would make it obvious to the whole world that the world would soon end. What would happen, do you think? Your opinions can be based off of religious teachings as well, most of those are very interesting...
