yes. i would have liked it if you had thrown in more than very basic issues... especially the probability one. that took, like, literally, 2.364 seconds. the chem problem took 2-3 minutes once i sat down and looked at it and recalled basic chemistry from 10th grade (many moons ago). and the physics problems were a joke. oh well. i liked the derivative problem from one of the earlier mental rounds... that was challenging enough where it wasn't basic, but was still basic enough that someone could theoretically solve it without knowing calc. the log question was also decent, although more tedious in its algebra than anything difficult.

regardless, overall, i was very satisfied with this round. the games, the challenges... highly creative, interesting, challenging. fun. 3 days well spent.

Re: Omnipwn Tournament (100,000 Credit Grand Prize)

Thing is, if I make the mental rounds too hard, then a lot of people give up (Round 3 killed off a lot of people lol, even the problem-solving type questions like the one with the electron). I tried to make the mental challenges in this round reasonably tricky. I know XB and others didn't know a lot of the random equations/concepts involved but still figured them out by learning on Google, and this is kinda what I was aiming for.

Anyways I hope you all are enjoying the round! Lots of games in this one.

yea, i know. just maybe would have liked one really tricky roadblock. tricky for difficulty, not tricky because i'm dumb and miss the obvious.

I'll probably add a bonus hard-difficulty mental bonus in here somewhere. Actually I'll make one right now.

It will be for credits, however (say 1000 credits) -- no points for the tournament. Just something fun for those who want the challenge.

I'm in chemistry right now...and we haven't learned anything about waves yet. I mean I know most of this, but stuff like the physics and the advanced algebra (I'm taking that now too) is beyond me, making it hard to solve w/o Googling it.

Still, I'm glad I ran into this before it ended, because it is fun. Nice job with the whole tournament Rubix.

what does waves have to do with chemistry? if you're talking about the Sine Wave question... Sine, Cosine, and Tangent are the 3 main trig functions.

You don't need to know math for the sine wave one. Just its... trends

Here's the rest of my scores.

There are still several games I didn't complete in Round 15, but I doubt I will finish them.

Great tournament MrRubix and it was a lot of fun competing with Tass and the many others that participated.

I'm looking forward to another tournament from you, Rubix.

                          I'm glad you liked it.

I will definitely make another one in the future, hopefully with even more participants (and hopefully I won't scare off so many with stuff like Mental #3). Now that I've run a tournament I have a better idea what works better and how to better evaluate players.

I need to get some more credits first, but after that I will run an even bigger tournament with more prizes.

T'was a fun tourney. I hope you make another one soon.

                            EDIT: just randomly:

and it has nothing to do with ROUND 15 okay?
This took me awhile to find. Putting in random numbers rofl.
