I'm not a fan of those types of games, but that looks like it'd be at least a little fun anyway.

It's things like that that should make full use of the wiimote. Minigames and things too. Or anything with point and click stuff, as well as basic UI navigation. I just don't like seeing it implemented into 3rd person action/platform type things, unless it's done VERY subtly. Galaxy doesn't use it extensively, does it?

No, its basically only used for getting items and using the spin attack.

ps for those of you who have it, how is the side scrolling stuff?

Just awesome. Especially when you have it for the NES still. For the first Super Mario Brothers, though, there are moments where a goomba should appear, or a floating platform... but it just doesn't show up. So for the platform, I'll be going as fast as I can, I'll jump, but there won't be anything for me to land on.

Mario Bros 3, I didn't feel like beating because of that damn sun that always attacked you.

I honestly never cared about beating games back then. I just played around until I got bored. Umbrella Chronicles, I might get that but its not my type of game. I'm more of a type of gamer that either jumps on things (Mario games), Shoots things that are not already dead (Call of Duty 4) and a stratagist/rpg player (insert game here).

well IGN gave umbrella chornicles a 7.9 but i still gonna rent it because is at least worth a rent XD.

i'm getting galaxy next week and i can't wait for it.
as for the wii zapper...well i think i'm getting it for christmass too (with fire emblem and final fantasy XII: revenant wings)

We're sold out on the Wii Zapper down here. I forgot to get one well mainly because I forgot the date it would be released. Plus Mario Galaxy is very fun, too bad I'm going through it alot faster than I wanted to. I have 70 stars already and its only been 3 days since its release.

Resident Evil: UC looks awesome. The game is perfect for the console. I'm a massive Resident Evil fan, I love light gun games. I love Co op and the co op looks brilliant, my best mate also loves co op and games like The House of the Dead, he also has a big HDTV to play it on. Man, we're going to play that game to death.

So excited.

Has everyone forgot that the game of the century Smash Brothers Brawl is coming out? I mean that game is gonna make you trade in Resident Evil because it'll make that game look crappy.

This isn't a competition over which game is better. Obviously we haven't forgotten SSBB but there are other good games, other good games that are out before SSBB as well. Plus, how could we forget with that grossly over sized SSBB avatar. Also, it will not make UC look crappy, what the hell kind of thought track is that.

ok first thing about the avatar, I didn't think it would blow up to be this size in the forums. secondly i honestly never really cared too much for the Resident Evil Series (even though their good and fun as hell) and can you tell me what other "great games" are coming out before Brawl hits stores other than the umbrella chronicles?

Then resize it. So you don't like Resident Evil, that's fine, as long as you can realize that's you opinion and others my not see it that way, which I didn't get from you when you said something like,

Just because I have games I hold higher than others it doesn't make any of them seem crappy. If your going to quote me with "these things" then make sure you quote something I actually say as well, just a little hint. One game out before SSBB of the top of my head that I think looks amazing is Zack and Wiki. Pokemon may be out before SSBB as well, not to sure.

Seriously. Brawl isn't that great. I certainly didn't buy my Wii going "hey I can't wait for Brawl to come out. Everything else sucks compared to Brawl!"

Also, Galaxy will sell more copies than Brawl. Also, Mario Kart has the potential to sell more than Galaxy, which will sell more than Brawl. Want to know how I know? Logic. And history.

People say that the only reason Gamecube sold well was because of Melee, much like how the Xbox only sold well because of Halo. I beg to differ on the former (the latter is true, though. Halo and Halo 2 are the top with 5 and 9 million, respectively. Third-place only has 2.5 million). Mario Kart: DD sold slightly more than Mario Sunshine, which sold slightly more than SSBM. Each sold about 6.5 million copies. Unfortunately, someone messed with the data on the Wikipedia page and rolled back all the data to 2004, so I can't confirm it any longer.
