Honestly i could take a random shot of my lamp and put it in my sig, at least people would see what it was.

Hence why signatures are generic, shoddy, and a crappy medium. Make bigger, varied images.

this thread isn't about how graphically capable i am. It's how well i can use my experience to make sigs.

Right and everyone agreed that while your sigs show you are capable of using photoshop, we all know that you're a talentless hack that couldn't evoke an emotion out of an image to save your life.

5 years ago, when I was 14, I was still making better shit on Photoshop 6 than you're making now and you're tossing every bit of advice I have away because I'm crap at image editing. Makes sense.

As for talentless, thanks very much. I hope you post a thread with all of your work so i can hijack it too. Can't really comment on your abilities seeing as i've only seen one or two pieces of **** so far so...feel free. And for the record almost all of my sigs started from scratch apart from the render itself.

Don't feel obliged to reply to this, not going to read it.

Eh...While your work, Cypher, is much better than anything I can do in PS and therefore good in that sense, I am actually more interested in what aperson has there. I see more of a flow throughout it and I do see more going on in quite a few aspects with what he has made. Everything he has been saying has made perfect sense to me, so I don't understand why you keep giving him this angry tone.

I also wanted to point out that you are being pretty ignorant to what aperson has been explaining in a kindly manner, and that you are also being ironic by telling him to "Get over yourself". You haven't been lenient to having an understanding here. Also, you really set the stage for him to post some of his work, so don't say he hijacked your thread.

By the way you are acting now, I wouldn't be surprised if you wrote an angry response to what I have to say. You should have handled this much better than you have been.

I'm perfectly happy to take constructive criticism, and advice even for that matter. But simply calling my work generic simply on the basis that ALL sigs are generic isn't constructive in the slightest.

He also fails to give advice on how to improve on this in the future, although as i said i probably wouldn't take any notice seeing as i tend to listen more to people i respect.

Although I hate to continue this argument between cypher and aperson, I have to agree that all of your work is fabulous-- your pictures are wonderful and they're extremely detailed, but at the same time, they're all too similar. Try adding more backgrounds to some of your work. For instance-- the two things in your sig, add some background to them... Anything. They're nice, but they're just pictures that only use half the space allotted.
