    Re: KeyBoard Ultimix: Now Accepting!

lots of accepted files this batch good job guys. but i suggest stepping songs that arent known like stuff not already on FFR or songs that have not been stepped a ton. To bad i stepped a FFr song and a DDr song for this pack ... just need someone to test them. also BEN i finished the song by myself sorry :P. Next time

          Re: KeyBoard Ultimix: Now Accepting!

If your file isn't in here that's because I played it like a month ago and it's probably on like page 8 or somewhere around there.

ay carumba!!! - +? - stepped good, but... boring as hell!

Bouff - + - It was good as an index file, I guess. Which is kind of what we're looking for. Maybe you should look over it again to make sure there are no misplaced steps though.

Captivate Sabaki - +? - This is alright. I think there are some errors though, go over it again. The big 16th stream in the middle felt awkward. Consistency is key! Oh, and hi Scytlock. (If you want to accept this Ben, go ahead)

concerto no 4 - ? - Piano files should be more pitch relevant and not have meaningless holds.

Darkmoon Rave - +? - Some kind of weird jacks. Otherwise, this is good.

Delta Beat - - - *snore... oh wow, sorry, no. I really love ASK though.

          FF3 Boss - +? - Probably not...

          Gargoyle - ... - I didn't finish this, becuase I've played better versions.

I.S.D.K. - ? - If you're going to step a 60 second song, do more with it please... THOSE 24TH TRILLS ARE BS!

          Insaner + - Yes.

          Jam&Marmalade - ? - 24ths, jacks, is this a pad file?

Kick Your ****ing ass into da wall rofl - ... - Kilga's file is fun. This really isn't, so I quit.

Mute City Remix - ? - The steps follow what again? Ah, well, at least it's not full of YNS, but no...

Namiki - - - Wow, wtf, oh my god... THAT WAS BORING! Put me to sleep, couldn't even finish it. Should be layered more, and I'm pretty sure some of those steps are 32nds. Just terrible stepping song.

Nijiiro - ? - Lar, seriously, stick to pad files. Submit some stuff to DSU4 when it comes up.

Peace of the World - + - I lieked to play it indecks.

Procrastination on Paper - + - Dude, this is the best file you've submitted to the pack. I like it. Some of the stream patterns could be better, as well as more pitch relevant, but okay.

Quickening - ? - This is such a bad Taka song for stepping...

Sepia - ... - See Gargoyle. Seriously, step things that haven't already been stepped to death.

Stupid MF - +? - Is this a released simfile? Plz make the boring parts more layers plz. Otherwise, dis is alright.

Super Nova - ? - If you're going to submit an OSTER song to this it's gonna have to rock. There are a few alright parts, but it's otherwise sloppy, and parts could be layered more. P.S. The background doesn't fit the song at all, rofl!

That is Fair - ? - Have played several much better versions then this. 64th trills = no.

          Files +'d:
          Bouff
          Insaner
          Peace of the World
          Procrastination on Paper

Files that are almost in, but need very minor work:
          Captivate Sabaki
          Darkmoon Rave

Also, I do believe that there is a file or two I did not play. I couldn't even find the rottel file. When you send the email please label it *your name* - *file(s) you're submitting* Also, sending all the files in one .zip/.rar really helps.

              Gargoyle
Heavy: + Absolutely loved it - one of my favourite files so far. I thought it would get repetitive but no, you made sure it wasn't, and I applaud you for it!

              Kick Your A
Heavy: + It was fantastic, if similiar to the FFR version, but it's still really fun. Definate plus.

              Quickening
Heavy: + Now this is not at all what I expected! To be honest, I thought this would be terrible because it doesn't sound like it'd be at all difficult - yet again you've proved me wrong! Really fun!

              Sepia -trance mix-
Heavy: + That was amazing. I really liked the song and the slowdown just screamed EPIC. Brilliant.
              i like ben's notes better.... :P

and sulfer, did you play quickening? or do you just not like the song? i know the song is different, but i was told to get originality in there, and you got it. :P

I like Quickening, I like almost all DJ Taka. It was just boring to play, and even though it's not the best song for stepping it still has more potential then what was done with it. a.k.a. layer it more.

you think it would be better if more of the file was more like the ending?

PS: sending True Love.... and Classical Ecstasy (released, but im changing some things)... and Crazy Motorcycle (released, but fun file...)

i pretty much agree with everything sulfer said. i'm trying not to be as anal on judgement but files should be fun in order to be accepted. dont try to be too techincal neither. sometimes that ruins the file

Actually, Ramengan, I could just make the changes myself. All that's really the matter is a few jacks, and maybe a couple left out arrows.

Heavy: + Haha that was so fun and random.
Oni: ? Felt like it was hard just for the sake of being hard... I would much rather just keep heavy =)

                              Mute City Remix
Heavy: +? Hard. Maybe a bit too difficult? Loved the ending!

Heavy: + OMG I LOVE YOU. You synched it for me =) Steps were cool and very fun! And it got pretty hectiv near the end!

Look, I'm not trying to bitch the judges out or anything. I'm just making notes to myself to fix this and tweak that.

Delta Beat- WHAT????I never stepped anything that had a name remotey resembling Delta Beat!

FF3 Rock- I fixed most of the problems.

                              I.S.D.K.- Just removed Oni.

Namiki-I wanted a easier file to balance out the 13-foot stuff. It's not for masters of SM like ArchOwl or anything. If you want, I'll make Oni.

                              Procrastination-YAY!!!!!

Super Nova- Lol, this file was pretty crappy. I'll figure it out sooner or later.
