Yeah, there's only videos of noobs playing. lol I watched all the videos, I think. Not once did I see a decent fight.. but that's expected, it's mainly videos of game reveiwers playing, but noob footage is better than no footage. lol

I'm not sure how true this is, but apparently to cancel Fox's shine in Brawl, you have to hit jump WHILE down and b are still being pressed. So, if you let get of down to hit up for jump, or let go of b to hit X/Y to jump. No go. It's not a tough change to get use to, I've already messed around with hitting X with the bottom of my pointer finger. lol ..but just letting any Fox lovers know. =p

This is true. If you let go of either button, the animation is cancelled and you go into a different sort of animation. However, because of this, you can now shine a lot more often in a single jump than in Melee, and your falling speed is negated each time. So you can fall extremely slowly.

And as for everyone saying the gameplay is slow, well of course it is. This was the first time anyone got to play Brawl, everyone's going to bad at it in comparison to what people will be like a few months after release. Besides that, Sakurai stated that the game speed was going to be more "moderated," so the game was designed to be slower-paced. I doubt we'll see anything as fast as Melee from Brawl, thought that doesn't necessarily mean it won't be as fun.

Here's a video actually of a tournament player at E4All playing Metaknight in the demo, so you can see the current level of skill tournament players have with Brawl.

            Metaknight vs Sonic

EDIT: Forgot to add, since the gameplay at E4All was all done with the Wii Remote, and it's a control scheme that still needs getting used to, there's another factor as to why the gameplay seems so slow.

While you guys watch somebody else play something you're dying to play, I'll be waiting and I'll be more suprised and excited with the game play than any of you watching the videos.

I'm actually not "dying" to play the game. Basically, I just want to know as much as I can about it so that I can adapt quickly and start playing at or near my Melee level once the game is released. Learning curves annoy me, so I aim to shorten mine as much as possible so that I can get into the gameplay I find the most fun, and that's playing at my best.

But I can wait. I didn't mind when they pushed back the release date; it could be December '08 and I'd be fine. However long it takes, I'll be waiting patiently.

Okay, I can understand that you have the patience to wait even until Dec of 08 but that's just way too long to wait for this game. If that did happen, it better have at least 100 characters and over 80 stages with every item ever seen since the NES. Plus Melee would be of little help seeing that there are rumors of the control scheme being similar so I would continue to train using that. But once Brawl comes out, if they decide to release it on that date *02/10/08*, then I'll be ready.

I'm not dying to play it, but I'm dying to play it against other people, though. =o I just want to understand it. ;-; Basically like Relambrien said... Figure out as much as you can now, and worry about less as you get better after release.

                            Agreed.

All these videos are amazing, despite some of them seeming slow. I need to not be poor and go get myself a Wii >.<.
