yeah someone has a new AAA on Gaussian Blur as well. something definitely needs to be done about the obviously hacked scores and those getting them.

i took care of some of them. if you guys want to keep posting usernames, i'll keep dealing with it.

but, synth is working on fixing the issue again. it's something that just came up again, so it needs to be fixed again.

remaining ones that I saw right away are Xx{violet}xX, l Kn0xY l, and carlosextreme (Silence, but this is old i think). and Gaussian Blur, I think it was l Kn0xY l again.

that would be so nice. i'm so sick of trying to refresh my stats to include my newest AAA and see my AAA bar go DOWN by one because some *** hacked Free Space or Excite Bike or whatever other level.

Actually that raises a good point...would it not be possible, since we know the exact score that results from a AAA, to add a check that says something like "If the song would be rank one, compare it to the AAA score in the database, if it is larger, discard it"?

If it only does that check on songs that try to be rank 1, it shouldn't hammer on the database too often as to cause problems, and could eliminate a whole issue from existance.

I know for a fact this is possible, I know a bit of programming. Though not Flash, I know it's possible. It's just something that would have to be implemented for EVERY LEVEL individually, I think.

I think it would save time in the long run, but setting it up could be a hassle. Although I can't say too much on the subject because like I said, I know a bit of programming.

Actually... couldn't you just do it for every level pretty easily?
It's basically take the max combo, multiply by 1550, and check for scores above it.
If you could code something like that so that it were to take care of new songs dynamically, as they are added, it would be an excellent measure.
