Gases are NOT fluids, except in a seldom-used sense of the word. Gases are fluid in that they move, but are NOT fluids in the state of matter.

Fluids, more commonly referred to as liquids, have a detectable sense of touch, meaning you can feel them all the time, and your body can register it. They include water, soda, milk, and such. However, they are the TRANSITION stage between gas and solid, NOT the gas itself.
You're not going to say, "Oh, I can feel a lot of methane in the air."

Tell me how the **** you can feel a fart (methane gas).
