you guys can pride yourself on your 1 hand skill playing, and it's all great, but i hope you don't get over inflated about your achievements with the logic "oh i did it with one hand so now im gr8". your style of choice is just that, your own choice. though playing with one hand pretty obviously makes the game harder, you still choose to do so and that's cool but your scores are no better and your bad scores are just as bad as if they were posted by a spread or index player.
i only say this because you guys have 2 huge threads priding yourselves. sure it started out as a question, but with the ranking thread? come on. again, nothing against one handed players, but when you think about it playing one handed does seem rather pointless, like playing lacrosse or hockey with only one hand.Comment

You're actually COMPLETELY wrong.
Obviously One-handers are at a disadvantage and can't "rank" as high as spread/index players. But their scores can still be really, really impressive, like redorigami's Turkish March FC; the fact that he did it one-handed is enough to impress anybody, and it's not a bad score at all.
It's a style of play that people choose if they feel comfortable with it. They know they'll never reach the skill of a really good 2-hander, but again, it's their choice, and good scores from a one-hander are COMPLETELY different from good scores from a two-hander. This is completely wrong. They are comfortable with it, therefore they obviously assume that they can be as good as anyone if they play enough. Good scores from a one handed player are the exact same as good scores from a 2 handed player. Spread players make the decision to play spread and one handed players make the decision to play one handed. The fact that spread is generally considered easier is of no matter. Before a war breaks out, lemme just say this. g4z33b0, all posts from you have no meaning or purpose in this thread, so I can't understand why you would make them. Not once did I say that it was an amazing score at all. I said I did it to show other people that there was no problem with me voting in the gurus/masters category. I realize my scores suck to someone who doesn't use one hand, and frankly, I don't care. Also, DarkbearX, thanks.

First off, I was directed here to "bash" one handers by the thread's creator. I am however, not bashing or even insulting one handed players at all. I'm not suggesting you change your style, I'm not saying anything negative at all. If you read my first post:
I'm not saying your scores suck at all, all I was saying is that one handed scores are the same as 2 handed scores. Just trying to have a conversation, not insult anyone or anything like that. Basically say someone AAA'd something one handed, I am impressed with the AAA but not that they did it with one hand.again, nothing against one handed playersComment

... also, I really do hate to jump into this argument, but cool down and lay off the hostile (yet trying-to-sound-civilized) comments, and this is aimed at everyone, not just g4z33b0 (big meanie) just let the one handers discuss their style and brag about themselves if they want; that's what everyone else on this site does anyway when they have the chance.

I can't seem to improve my average rank at all lately. It's not often that I get new best scores on the songs, and while I'm not, thousands of other people are passing me on the individual songs, which slowly drops my average rank. I know this is bound to happen unless you can AAA practically everything, but it's still a bit disappointing to have so much trouble countering it. I did get some new best scores today because I was especially on-beat today (I got 9109 perfects on 9555 arrows = 95% PA), but I still lost places in my average rank due to the other songs dropping ranks. And while I'm staying the same or getting worse, others are passing me in the rankings -- I went from 4th to 7th place.Last edited by Dronak; 09-6-2007, 08:53 PM.

What I can pass and what I can FC are two completely different things. I went ahead and voted for Difficult to Very difficult though since those are the only ones I can FC so far.What Difficulties do you pass/FC One Handed?
