Ok I was playing some ITG2 yesterday with my RedOctane on SM, right?
Well I played the song 'Sunshine' on expert. That's a 10-footer.

Anyways.. I was doing good until these random bursts of arrows came up during the vocals.
I thought, "Now why would someone put a bunch of arrows while someone singing is holding the note?"

And then I quit because it was just stupid.
I notice that in a couple of other songs.

DDR - syncs songs
ITG - stupid jump obsessive steps.

That's why DDR sucks.
DDR is too litteral when it comes to the music.
Too obvious.
ITG is a challange, not going with the vocals, but with the music.
Think of it this way.
You're feet are a drum beat that's supposed to be added in with the song.
It's all an accumulation of things.
Since when were vocals any fun to step to?

Oh, and as for anyone who thinks that the DDR stepcharts are good....
Kill yourself for the sake of Rythem&Dance games pronto.
Half the songs are randomly generated, and another 1/4 of them just suck. DDR was a pretty good IDEA. ITG is the real thing. It IS, and always WILL BE better.

I don't know about charlene being easier then robotix. The mines in charlene kill me, but i can do the crossovers in robotix like they're nothing; back on topic. ITG2 is the supirior game. DDR is only good for SO DEEP (perfect sphere mix) but thats more fun on an itg machine anyways...so DDR just sucks.

some simfiles in ITG switch instrument sounds for steps, which isn't all that common ( most people switch to the most filled track to keep charts interesting, like all KBMP packs )

Easier timing wise anyway.

As long as you know how to deal with the mines (step on the center square, it also helps to keep the beat) then you're set.
As for robotix...Nigga' fuck that siren part. BLEH!

Yeah. I tried the step file for sunshine to see what you were talking about.. and I'm a bit confused. The song was pretty easy, and the sync was fine. Maybe you have an altered step file. Also, the beats aren't always to the main melody, like in pandemonium for instance it obviously follows the drums.

I've tried ITG, but I never really got used to the mines and freaked out when I hit them xD The hands are fun though. Personally, I think ITG has better songs than DDR, but the steps are worse. Thus, I stick to playing DDR but listen to the music when others play ITG

I haven't played ITG all summer long so once I got back on the pad this week, I got tired after just one gameplay.

I can still pass 11-step experts but summer has affected my stamina.

I'd say ITG is much better than DDR simply because it's more challenging. Song wise... DDR has a lot of annoying and horribly stepped songs while ITG has a few annoying songs but amazing stepped songs.

Most people (mostly novices or people who can't play on expert on ITG) usually hate 16th runs and crossovers, so I don't blame you people if you don't like ITG and/or prefer DDR over it.

After breaking 90 on Pandy and 97 on Summer going back and SDEing Max300 with relative ease and ZERO stamina drain just seemed a little too easy and not so fun anymore.

ITG > DDR

It doesn't really have to flow perfectly. It just has to fit the song which ITG does. That is why ITG is harder, it doesn't directly with the music. If your looking for the most logical steps play DDR extreme...however SuperNova is just rediculous lol (AA hint hint).
