The only solo project I've ever started was AAA and it was going rather well until I decided to get stepmania again without ridics and for some reason the file got lost lol

Cosmic Orchestra seems to have a lot of potential for a fun, hard file, but I'm not sure I could do it justice. Plus I'm having a hard time figuring out what the BPM is, if it's even constant at all.

I'm pretty sure it's constant until the very end where it slows down. You could ask jimerax to lend you his file that he made for FFR that was very well synced. I was thinking of possibly doing that myself.

@Dynam0: We could collab on AAA if you'd like. Thanks for reminding me, that's something I meant to step from a while ago but forgot.

13th, Friday could make a great file but I can't step it. Tete-a-tete too. Actually, a lot of this stuff could.

I have a hard time syncing even constant BPM stuff... I don't think 13th, Friday is constant though.

I can sync something for you if you like, if by sync you mean find the gap. We could take that further to a collab if you wanted, whatever.

Yeah, 13th, Friday isn't constant by any means. It'd make a great file, but bpm changes are way out of my league

fffff is really good. For sure the best of the ones you just posted. Then probably B.B. Revenge. I haven't played Luv to Me though. Scorpion Fire is alright, but I could beat it if I'd stop making dumb mistakes, because I can beat the MA and PA but always manage not to combo it.

I can never figure out gaps, even with an audio editing program. I also can't figure out BPMs if they aren't constant and whole numbers, and even then they give me some trouble. I'm also pretty bad at coming up with fun patterns and making files that don't have a million technical mistakes in them. So I'm a pretty bad stepfile maker.

Maybe you could find the bpm and gap, make a file, and send it to me, and then I could steal your ideas and make a harder or easier oni/heavy chart to add to it.

Sure, I could do that. If I do that I'll get Rebirth or somebody to check the sync just to be sure

I'll try and get working on something today; yesterday didn't turn out so well. I started Dazzling Soul and got around 400 steps done but then started to hate the steps so I stopped. Collabing would make a nice change I think.

You should try tete-a-tete.

AAA'able for sure, but I didn't want to play it again. It's really easy to mess up too. The first three combo breakers were at easy dumb places, then one miss in the first of those weird jump parts (the one that shows up again mirrored at the very end) and then two more from the 16th jack section, I think. Greats were just random.

I comboed all the big bursts, felt pretty insane. That's probably the only time I'll ever do better than Exag0n on something. Ever.

These are in order of quality, kind of, with worst first.


Looking at Pobeli's makes me want to kill this score, but sadly enough it's a PR. I just have problems with this file, especially in the freeze sections.


Probably a PR, not wonderful, but decent MA I think.


Bad habit CBs (always in the same three spots =/) but this beats Pobs' MA that I saw once, methinks (wasn't yours around 50?). I hope to <40p AAA this soon.


Awesome combo, from the beginning. Took all the trills early and botched the ending 32nds which explains my PA. But 3 cbs is pretty damn good for me.


Probably bad MA, I don't care. It's a BF I had to post it. Grargharghargh.


Isn't this borderline AA? =/ PR#1 and my best combo, but I screwed up at the very end so it should've been ~1350. Whatever.


WiLD PLANET of course Random first try as my last song on SMO today. I'm finally getting reasonable PA and though the CBs are high for my liking I'm just happy to be over 194.

Phew, that was a lot. My right hand seems back to normal/almost better but my left hand is really stiff at the wrist. I'm not sure how much that affects my playing ability but I might as well blame mistakes on it XD

I'm completely terrible at Wild Planet now. I've played it too much and now I can't combo it at all because I've got a million habits already.

Blue Mirage looks kind of cruddy for you. I think I AA'd it in one try the other day, but I can't remember for sure. Maybe it's better than I'm thinking. Puriny Squad looks good though.

I got 37 perfects on Stunt Flying twice today. One was a goodflag and the other was a full combo with 2 greats. I feel like I should be able to AAA with 25 or fewer though. What are you guys getting on it now?
