Ugh, I'm getting sick of trying to get better at jumpstream. TOML 0.9 is as fast as I can go. Any tips, or just practice jumpstream some more?

Just keep practicing. Really, once you get the hang of a certain speed of jumpstream, go on to a higher one, get good at that, and repeat.

Stepmania is lkike porn. you go with it. You don';t stop until you're satisfied and when you finish is when you finish, whethter by an interruption or by boredom

Hey ieat, samt0rx, Dynam0, or some other fast person: how do you warm up when you play stepmania? I've found that my MA is complete garbage even on easy stuff if I'm not fully warmed up, and my speed is even worse, but it takes me a long time before I feel completely warmed up, and some days I just can't really warm up as much as other days.

And how do you practice speed? Just play things that are hard to AAA, or hard to FC, or hard to AA, or hard to pass, or what? I'm dumb.

do jacks. alot of em. then your hand'll be alot faster after. stuff like k8, loaded futurefile, i'm a maid (gay one), privateer, etc. paranoia respect and cynic are decent too because theres groups of jacks insted of a whole crapload of long ones

I just play like, one moderately difficult song to warm up.

To practice speed I just only play hard stuff and kill my arms. Play like NVLM stuff and anything else that requires high speed and endurance and go for the burn. It doesn't take very long since the files are so hard, but just play until your arms are too tired to play and then call it quits for the day. Fastest way to build up endurance and speed IMO.

Basically what I meant was (oh god lmao)

Play easier-ish stuff to get flexible so you can do well on jumpstreamy, moderately hard stuff but not too on fire to make yourself uncontrolled lol

But for things like Reach said, just ruin your arms, make them immune to slowing down basically so you can power your way through things, however sloppy it may be

This is why I've never been good at really fast streams, I can either be stupid fast or really controlled, but I can't stay controlled for fast things up to a point =(

Thanks all of you. I'm planning to work on speed now for a while because I think my MA is better than my speed, and that my lack of physical speed is holding back my MA on moderately difficult songs like TOML, Vortex (rofl I'm terrible at that file,) etc..

I got 23 perfects on Delirium 1.2x, then 52 blackflag on 1.3x. Dunno if either of those is any good.

This is actually pretty good for me. I can't FC it anymore though. Dunno why.


Simultaneously the best and worst score I've ever gotten on this file, I think.
