Comments about the FFR Photo Contest

I think print screen shots should count. They're not specifically disallowed in the rules. I mean... I could go and take a picture of my computer monitor and get something to the same effect (save for those crappy bars that continuously move up the screen), but that'd be kinda redundant. But if I took a screenshot and edited it, I would agree that it would be grounds for disqualification... but what counts as alteration?

of course using a paint program was mentioned specifically, but what about .....

1) creating something in a NON-PAINT program for the express purpose of this program (like mine...page 3) (if this IS allowed, i can prove that my pic was created independently in that program if need be)

2) going in and modifying a program or game so that FFR will show up in it? (changing a texture file, creating a 3d landscape, making bots that dance on your own created FFR pads in a game like UT? ... hold on... I totally call that idea if it's allowed)

A little insight would be helpful in this matter, so I can get to taking more pics.

It's a PHOTO contest. It says so in the rules. If you look at the first page, a bunch of entries are disqualified because they are not PHOTOS.

indeed. photo contest. although, if someone doesnt have a digital camera that may make sense. then again, why are we even worryign about this? the screenshot and edited pics mostly suck anyway, so we dont have to worry about them winning :P

Very true, and the whole point is to reward people with photographical comedic/artistic talent, if you don't have a digital camera, you probably lack this. And if you're too poor, you shouldn't have a computer :P

well, we got our digicam free when we signed up with earthlink (if i remember correctly, but i do know for a fact it was free with something), so being poor shouldnt matter.

Seriously, I've said the same thing for such a long time now. I keep asking anybody who cares "When will the contest end? The amount of images has slowed to less than one a day." Can we end it now?

I agree. This is taking far too long, and having no more entries, should end.

I hate to be repeating the same thing over and over again, but I guess I have to in order to get the attention this needs. Seeing as this is a legitimate contest for actual prizes, I find it necessary to repeat the same thing.

The last picture post in the topic was May 12th. The contest has to end. If you need any help, you can ask. I doubt you do though.

Apologies if you were already working on this "problem".

thevox's entry wasn't photoshopped (or at least he didnt photoshop it), its a website, that can be pretty fun, espically for those of you who go to public schools...
