I leave topics open for a bit before locking them sometimes, because in my opinion, and based on my experience over all the message boards I've been to over the years (which totals up to a high double digit number), people who post stupid topics like that have no respect for the mods if it's just locked. They think we're pushovers who will never really do anything to them or that the only thing we can do is lock their topics.

I know this because I used to think the exact same way, and in a case of a lot of message boards the mods are pushovers.

it only shows up if it's edited before anybody else posts after it (i have checked and confirmed this)

about post editting. i think any edits done to posts should never change the original words of the post (unless it's offensive or it talks about secret songs XP). if you do edit somebody's post, just put "EDIT:" underneath. this is what u do usually, i think, but i'm pretty sure sometimes the original post gets changed. in fact, i think any if someone edits their own post they should put "EDIT:" at the bottom so people will notice the change.

but i must say, Arch may seem strict here, but man, he is alot tougher on his own boards.

Arch is doing an excellent job, foos. All the topics he locks deserve it IMO. I've really enjoyed the forums now that he is uber-weeding out the n00b posts. gj, Arch!

Sorry, but Kenzya did NOT deserve the kind of treatment Arch gave him. Kenzya posts a video that is only 99% believable, and people give him crap about the 1%. Just because Kenzya didn't cover all his bases doesn't mean he is definitely a fake. He gets upset about it and announces that he quits, and so Arch decides to ban him from the brag board in effect - I'll let the quotes speak for themselves.

Hahahaha Kenzya cut the stupid dramatic bullshit, and stop trying to make people feel sorry for you.
If I see another one of your posts of something else you did, I'm deleting it. If you're quitting, just leave.

It took a long time for a super spammer hax to get banned, but you ban newcomers like its no thing.

Arch does an awesome job. My only complaint is when he locks a thread because it's going to become a posthworing thread. If it were me, I would let become a postwhore thread first before locking it.

Kenzya posts a video that is only 99% believable

If you think that video is 99% believable you obviously don't know much about Stepmania or how it works. The 1% is a HUGE amount, and can make the difference, is that he ran it off of a shortcut, and did I elaborate on how easy it is to cheat if you run something off of a shortcut? Adding to this, which is THE MOST OBVIOUS THING, is that his keys were not even close to being in sync with the music. Reach agreed with me on this, and so did Privateer.

I did the "I'm going to delete your posts" threat because he's lying, he didn't quit like he said he would over 5 times, and it's stupid to lie on the brag board. It's like saying "I'm going to drink this" and then saying it like 5 times and never actually doing it untill someone forces it in your mouth.

My demands were NOT hard to fufill. People act like I'm requesting the molecules of the substances on his keyboard or something, get over it. People requested the colombians to retake their legend of max AAA video and at the end have them opening up the back of the arcade cabinet and showing the DDR extreme arcade disk that the arcade hardware runs off of, because they thought it was "modified". I'm not just talking one guy, I'm talking a whole group of people. And this isn't just something that is easy to record like stepmania either, this is an arcade game so it requires a lot more effort. The colombians weren't even that offsync either, yet people said they were.

And here I am requesting a video with the exact steps taken like my quasar one, which does not require any effort at all, and Kenzya throws a drama queen fit acting all sad like his best friend just died or something. The Legend of Max AAA vid is like concrete proof of a LoM AAA, the blur vid is far from concrete and is extremely fishy, and he misses like 50 hojillion notes on the jackhammers. It takes hardly any effort at all to record a video like my quasar one if you have a camcorder, and some means of positioning it.

Do what you have to do to keep things in the forums under control, but also set a good example for the other users. Once you get the "Site Admin" tag, you should put the flamethrower in the closet, except on very rare occasions.

Sorry, Arch, make threads like this and you put yourself on trial. Which means evidence can be used against you, and the candid opinions of everyone will be heard. You've had enough forum experience to understand something as basic as that.
