Alright guys, I'm going to set the record straight. Emo is a label for people, and music genre. It originally started out as a type of music that expresses helpless emotions in a fashion different from it's forefather; goth. The music prayed on the weaker people in the same way that Britney Spears prayed on weaker females. Because of this, people eventually began to "copycat" the emo music, and began overdressing and trying to be like who they think is cool. Emo music today is often mis-represented with the labels of Alternative and Punk Rock

Which still brings across that emo is, as a matter of fact, a label. They're still whining and denying that they're emo or that they shouldn't be made fun of, so I don't see why this helps.
