I think that most of those are good suggestions and would actually help the overall gameplay. I also aggree that the system chardish has on song rating is good. That can easily be changed to the ))))s, and FFR already has room for the ))))) ratings AND the word ratings, so there doesn't have to be any debate on that.

or have a selection of ways to sort it, like in DDR Extreme (and probably the other arcade DDR's, for that matter)... sort by genre, sort by alpha, sort by difficulty, etc.

But yeah back on topic. Privateer I think those are some awesome ideas. I too hate hearing the music in the song selection screens, not that it's a bad song, but if you're just trying to look through the songs, the reptitive music CAN get annoying after a while.
